Newborn baby girl has a hard lump in her breast

The birth of each new life will bring more joy to our family, but because the body resistance of the newborn is relatively fragile, it is easy to be affected by various diseases. Once we find that our baby girl has lumps in her breasts, we should take the child to the hospital for examination in time. It may be due to problems with our feeding that lead to premature sexual development of the child. It may also be caused by problems such as lobular hyperplasia. Let us learn about it together.

Your baby may have abnormal hormone levels, which can cause false periods and breast "development". Because when the baby is born, it will absorb some estrogen and progesterone from the mother's body, which will affect the baby's physiological development. You will be fine after the metabolism is completed in two weeks. It is recommended to apply a hot towel to the baby's nipples to help blood circulation and promote metabolic absorption. Pay attention to the baby's hygiene. Breastfeeding is recommended and vaccinations should be carried out regularly.

The adrenal glands in young children also secrete small amounts of estrogen, and the breast tissue of some young girls is overly sensitive to estrogen. Under the action of estrogen, it can cause breast enlargement. In this type of breast hypertrophy, mammary gland development can be unilateral or bilateral. One type is that the entire breast is enlarged, there is no lump in the breast, and there is no tenderness; another type is that there is a lump under the areola, which is round in shape and painful to touch. First of all, do not touch the lumps in the breast all the time, and do not squeeze them at will, so as not to damage the mammary gland and cause breast disease. The result will not only affect the health of the child, but also hinder breastfeeding in the future for female babies.

Due to the influence of maternal estrogen, the mammary glands of newborn girls are in a state of hyperplasia. Generally, nipple secretions or a lump with a diameter of 1-3 cm or even larger may appear under the nipple 3-4 days after birth, with local swelling and redness that gradually disappears after 1-3 weeks. This is called physiological breast hyperplasia. Later, as estrogen in the body quickly disappears, the above phenomenon quickly disappears, causing the breast development in childhood to temporarily enter a dormant state. Males stop developing from then on, while females gradually develop again during puberty.

Whether the baby has enlarged breasts or lumps inside. Because the child will be affected by the mother's hormones in the mother's body, it will cause hyperplasia of the mammary lobules, which is what you feel as a small lump moving. But after leaving the mother's body, this phenomenon will gradually disappear as hormone levels decrease. Due to the different hormone levels of mothers and the different sensitivities of children to hormones, this phenomenon will manifest itself to varying degrees in different children.
