What is Yin deficiency and fire excess?

Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire is a disease in traditional Chinese medicine. It mainly refers to a relatively fast metabolism and frequent getting inflamed. It can also cause poor skin complexion, mouth ulcers, and constipation. These are all common typical symptoms of Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire. What to eat to treat Yin deficiency and excessive fire

It is recommended to nourish Yin and clear away heat. At the same time, you should adjust your mentality, keep your emotions stable and calm.

For people with Yin deficiency and excessive fire, the symptoms are likely to be aggravated in the hot, dry and rainless summer. The following dietary therapy is recommended to nourish Yin and regulate the spleen and stomach:

1. Asparagus porridge

60 grams of asparagus and 100 grams of rice. Fry the asparagus into a thick juice, remove the residue, add it to rice and cook into porridge, and eat it for breakfast.

2. Raw Rehmannia glutinosa porridge

150 ml of raw Rehmannia juice (or 150 ml of concentrated juice of dried Rehmannia), 100 grams of rice. Cook rice into porridge, add Rehmannia juice when the porridge is cooked, stir well and eat.

3. Lily porridge

50 grams of fresh lily, 100 grams of rice, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar. First cook the rice into porridge, then add the lily when it is almost cooked, cook until done, and season with rock sugar before eating. If there are no fresh lilies, you can use 30 grams of dried lily powder and cook it with rice into porridge.
