Treatment of HP infection

Treatment of HP infection

HB is what we usually call Helicobacter pylori. Many people will feel particularly panic when they mention Helicobacter pylori. After all, it is an important cause of gastric cancer. When HB infection occurs, it must be treated in time. Currently, triple or quadruple treatment methods are commonly used. In addition to good treatment, emphasis on daily maintenance will help the effectiveness of treatment.

Treatment of HP infection

Triple or quadruple therapy is now commonly used for treatment. The commonly used drugs in quadruple therapy are: Rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets (acid-suppressing drugs, need to be taken before meals), bismuth potassium citrate (inhibits HP and protects gastric mucosa), amoxicillin (antibiotic, bactericidal), and clarithromycin dispersible tablets (antibiotic, bactericidal). It should be noted that enteric-coated tablets and bismuth potassium citrate must be taken before meals, while amoxicillin and clarithromycin should be taken after meals.

The medication period is generally one to two weeks. Remember that the key to treating HP is persistence. You must follow the doctor's advice and don't give up easily. Otherwise, not only will it not be cured, but it may also cause Helicobacter pylori to develop drug resistance, which is not worth the loss.

HP-related gastric diseases belong to the category of epigastric pain in traditional Chinese medicine. Strengthening the spleen and replenishing qi, drying dampness and resolving phlegm, clearing away heat and dampness, and strengthening the body and eliminating evil are the basic principles for treating HP-related gastric diseases. The use of Western medicine's triple therapy combined with TCM syndrome differentiation treatment (liver-stomach disharmony, spleen-stomach damp-heat, gastric collateral congestion, spleen-stomach weakness, etc.) can greatly shorten the treatment time of HP stomach disease patients and improve the cure rate of gastric ulcer patients. Commonly used traditional Chinese medicines for inhibiting or killing HP include Panax notoginseng, rhubarb, coptis chinensis, phellodendron chinense, and betel nut.

To prevent HP, you also need to do the following in your life:

1. Strengthen exercise to improve body immunity.

2. Wash your hands carefully before meals and after defecation

3. Don’t eat food immediately after taking it out of the refrigerator. HP is more active in a low-temperature, oxygen-deficient environment, but it cannot survive easily in air at normal temperature.

4. Try to eat out less to avoid being infected again. If you cannot avoid eating out, try to use serving chopsticks.
