Due to calcification and cellulose deposition, the placenta's ability to transport oxygen and nutrients is reduced, and the fetus is in danger at any time. In the second trimester (12-28 weeks), the placenta is grade 0; in the third trimester (30-32 weeks), the placenta is grade I; after 36 weeks, the placenta is grade II (relatively mature); after 38 weeks, the placenta is grade III (the placenta is mature and then begins to age). If the maturity of the placenta does not match the gestational age, it can be judged as an over-mature placenta. 2. What are the consequences of premature placental maturity? The placenta plays a key role in fetal growth and development. The placenta supplies nutrition to the fetus. If the placenta matures too early, it means that the placenta ages quickly and its function becomes insufficient, which will lead to insufficient oxygen supply to the fetus and cause fetal maldevelopment. Measure fetal movements regularly at home. Fetal movements that are too frequent or too slow may indicate fetal hypoxia. You should go to the hospital for examination in time. 3. What if the placenta matures too early? If you are taking calcium supplements, you can stop taking them. Also, pay close attention to the condition of the amniotic fluid. If there is too little amniotic fluid, you should be hospitalized for observation in time. During a normal pregnancy, the amount of amniotic fluid increases with the gestational age, and then begins to gradually decrease after 2-4 weeks of gestation. At full-term pregnancy, the amount of amniotic fluid is about 800ML. The normal depth of amniotic fluid is between three and seven centimeters. More than seven centimeters indicates increased amniotic fluid, while less than three centimeters indicates decreased amniotic fluid, both of which are not conducive to fetal growth. However, these are just for reference, so expectant mothers must have regular prenatal checkups to ensure that no abnormalities are found in the B-ultrasound to prevent problems before they occur. However, you cannot judge whether the baby is normal based on the amount of amniotic fluid. |
