Manifestations of liver disease on nails

Liver disease is a very dangerous disease because many people do not take it seriously in the early stages, and it develops to the late stage later. Liver disease is a very hidden disease. Many people suffer from liver diseases such as fatty liver, alcoholic liver, liver damage and other hepatitis. In the early stages, there are no obvious symptoms, so it is difficult for them to detect it. So what are the early symptoms of liver disease, and how does liver disease manifest itself on the nails?

1. Pale nails

If the liver blood is insufficient, the nails will lose nutrients, causing the nails to become pale and uneven. In addition, spleen and stomach disharmony, insufficient qi and blood, and loss of liver blood are often the main reasons. If your nails are pale, you need to replenish blood and nourish the liver in time to prevent liver disease.

2. Nail deformation

Healthy nails have a raised center and curved downward at the edges. If the middle part of the nail is not raised and the edges are curled up, such nails are often related to liver yin and blood deficiency. Nails need nourishment from liver yin and liver blood. Once the nutrients are insufficient, the condition of the nails will become abnormal.

3. Nails break easily

Hard nails are a reflection of sufficient liver blood. If the nails are brittle and easily split, it indicates that the liver blood is insufficient and the tendons are not nourished.

4. Many vertical lines on the nails

The surface of normal nails is smooth. If there are many vertical lines on the nails and they persist, it indicates a deficiency of liver yin and liver blood, and may also be an abnormality in liver function. If you are overworked and lack of sleep, which leads to more vertical lines on your nails, it is often related to excessive consumption of the liver.

5. Red nails

The liver is prone to getting angry. If the liver fire lingers, the typical effect on the nails is redness.

6. Yellowing of nails

If there is dampness and heat in the liver meridian, certain parts of the body will turn yellow, not just the nails, but even the tongue coating and eyes will turn yellow, and in severe cases, the facial skin will also turn yellow.

7. Purple nails

The smooth circulation of Qi and blood is related to the liver. If the liver qi is not smooth and the circulation of qi and blood is not smooth, the nails will turn purple.

If you find that your liver is not in good condition, you should seek timely treatment. It is easier to treat liver disease in the early stages. Liver disease can be treated through diet adjustment, medication, and exercise, and it will be effective in three months.
