Is it better to get pregnant naturally or through IVF?

Some people around us get pregnant through test tubes, which is what we often call IVF, and most of them are pregnant with twins, so many people choose to get pregnant through IVF. However, some people believe that natural pregnancy is the safest. So, is natural pregnancy better than IVF? There is no doubt about this. Natural conception is the best option. Only some people who are unable to become pregnant normally choose IVF.

Test-tube baby is actually a folk term for "in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer". In vitro fertilization technology is the process of removing sperm and eggs from a man and a woman within a day, allowing them to complete fertilization in an artificially controllable environment outside the body, and then cultivating the fertilized embryo into an embryo; while embryo transfer is the process of transplanting early embryos into the female's uterine cavity, allowing them to implant in the uterus and develop into a fetus. People who are suitable for IVF:

1. Severe fallopian tube disease, such as pelvic inflammatory disease leading to fallopian tube blockage and hydrops; or fallopian tube tuberculosis with normal endometrium; or fallopian tube blockage after ectopic pregnancy surgery.

2. Endometriosis.

3. Immune infertility, the presence of anti-sperm antibodies in the male's semen or the female's cervical mucus.

4. Male factors, namely oligospermia, asthenospermia and teratospermia.

5. Unexplained infertility.

6. Those who have not responded to infertility treatment due to other reasons, etc.

For infertile patients, the most important thing to pay attention to when doing in vitro fertilization is the success rate. In the early days, the success rate of in vitro fertilization technology in my country was indeed low, but with the advancement of science, the technology has become increasingly mature and the success rate has continued to increase. At present, the country has been developing this technology for a relatively long time, and large medical institutions with rich experience have relatively high success rates, such as the famous Peking University Third Hospital and the Reproduction Department affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. However, hospitals with high success rates have more people and the waiting times are longer, so the Ministry of Health of major provinces has also approved the establishment of reproductive departments, but some cities are still immature.
