What to eat when you have a lumbar injury

In today's life, it can be said that there are many people with bad waists, but once the lumbar spine is injured, it can be said that our daily life is greatly affected. As far as I know, many people can basically not do heavy work after waist injury. If it is a gay man, it can be said to be bad news for the family. Each of us hopes that our physical problems can be cured, so today the editor will take you to learn what to eat when you have a lumbar injury?

1. What food should I eat when my waist is injured?

Wolfberry pork kidney soup is not afraid of waist sprain

Symptoms: Continuous pain and redness and swelling after a sprained waist.

Little recipe passed down by grandma:

①60 ml of white wine, 9 grams of camphor, and a little ginger juice. After camphor is dissolved in wine, add ginger juice, shake well, and apply to the affected area 3 times a day.

② Stewed pork kidney with wolfberry leaves. 2 pork kidneys, 150 grams of wolfberry leaves. Wash the pork kidneys, cut them into pieces, stew them with wolfberry leaves and water, add a little salt to season and serve.

As the elderly get older, they can’t sit still at home, so they all like to do some exercise. In the evening or at night, they take their spouses and old friends to practice Tai Chi or dance Yangko, which is a very relaxing thing. Here I would like to focus on the Yangko dance. The yangge dance performance is lively, diverse, colorful, lively and enthusiastic, especially when accompanied by the rhythmic sound of heavy drums, which makes people more passionate. The waist is twisted greatly when dancing Yangko, which is generally the best combination of physical exercise and entertainment. However, waist sprains due to excessive movements or mistakes also occur frequently. My uncle accidentally sprained his waist a few days ago and had to stay in bed for several days. Fortunately, my aunt used the little secret recipe I gave her, and my uncle's waist has recovered quite well.

For elderly people who have lived in cities for a long time, it is common to sprain the waist due to mobility problems or careless living. It is very necessary to master some folk remedies for treating lumbar sprains in time.

3. Three acupuncture points to easily treat lumbar sprain

Find the acupoints of the injured area. The Yu point is located on the bladder meridian, 1.5 inches away from both sides of the spine. Press each point for 2 minutes. It is best to feel some soreness.

Find the Hegu point. Put the thumb and other four fingers of one hand together, and press the raised muscles on the back of the thumb and index finger (it will feel painful when pressed lightly). When massaging, use the thumb of your other hand to press 20 times, 40 times in total for both hands, until you feel soreness or discomfort.

Find the nursing home. Stretch out your hand with your palm facing down. There is an obvious ankle bone at the wrist area. Press the ankle bone with the index finger of one hand, then turn your palm outward. A sunken pit will appear at the place where the index finger is pressing. This is the Yanglao point. It is advisable to press each acupoint for two minutes, for a total of four minutes for each hand.

4 What are the symptoms of lumbar sprain?

1. There is a history of lumbar sprain, which is more common in young and middle-aged people.

2. Severe pain on one or both sides of the waist, limited movement, inability to turn over, sit or walk, and often maintaining a certain forced posture to reduce pain.

3. Spasms of the lumbar and gluteal muscles, or the palpation of a cord-like hard object, obvious tenderness at the site of injury, and changes in the physiological curvature of the spine.

4. You will feel back pain immediately after the trauma and cannot continue to exert force. The pain is continuous and worsens during activities. It cannot be eliminated even after rest. Coughing, talking loudly, exerting force on the abdomen, etc. can increase the pain. Sometimes there is a popping sound or a sudden breaking sensation in the lower back when the injury occurs.

5. Waist stiffness, difficulty in active movement, difficulty in turning over, tension in the sacrospinal muscles or gluteus maximus, causing scoliosis.

6. There are tender points at the site of injury, in the sacrospinal muscles on both sides of the spinous process, in the transverse processes of the lumbar vertebrae on both sides, or behind the iliac spine. Most of them are muscle or fascia injuries. Tenderness deeper on both sides of the spinous process is mostly caused by injury to the intervertebral facet joints. If there is tenderness in the sacroiliac joint, it is usually due to sacroiliac joint injury.

7. Generally there is no radiating pain in the lower limbs. Some patients have referred pain in the lower limbs. The straight leg raising test is positive, but the enhanced test is negative. When identification is difficult, local pain points can be blocked with procaine. If the pain point is alleviated or disappears, it is referred pain. If the leg pain does not change, it is nerve root radiating pain.

5 What should you pay attention to in your life when you have a back injury

1. Rest in bed for 1-2 weeks. When sleeping, make sure to sleep on a hard wooden bed. Do not sleep on a Simmons mattress or sofa. Sleeping on a hard bed can relieve pain. If possible, place two pillows on both sides of the body to fix the position to avoid turning over at night. This is very necessary for children.

2. Do pelvic stretching regularly to relax spasmodic muscles. After the acute pain is relieved, you can do appropriate recovery exercises for the back muscles. Sit-ups are very good. You don't need to meet the standard. Just know when to stop. Also, don't be impatient, take it step by step.

3. If you feel that your recovery is slow, you can try acupuncture and massage to speed up your recovery; referring to the diet therapy for acute lumbar sprain in traditional Chinese medicine is also a good choice. After the condition improves, you still need to rest for 3-4 weeks. Teenagers and patients engaged in physical labor should be warned not to rush into strenuous exercise and high-intensity labor to avoid secondary injuries.
