What acupoints should be massaged for cervical pain

As we all know, there are a large number of acupoints in the human body. If you feel uncomfortable, massaging the corresponding acupoints will have a good effect. Cervical spondylosis is a disease that troubles many people. If you suffer from cervical spondylosis, your life will be greatly affected. You can try to adjust it through massage. So, which acupoints should be massaged for cervical pain?

What are the hazards of cervical spondylosis

1. Dizziness: Sudden fainting often leads to serious consequences, which is caused by compression of the vertebral artery.

2. Insomnia and neurasthenia: Clinical observation shows that 70% of people suffering from this type of disease are caused by cervical spondylosis.

3. Severe memory loss: This is caused by compression of the vertebral artery by the cervical spine, which may lead to cerebral infarction or even cerebral hemorrhage in severe cases.

4. Autonomic dysfunction: caused by the anterior vertebral bone compressing the posterior wall of the esophagus or stimulating the surrounding soft tissue.

5. Deafness: It is caused by stimulation or compression of the postganglionic sympathetic fibers near the cervical vertebrae, often accompanied by blurred vision.

6. Stroke: More than 90% of stroke patients have cervical spondylosis, and many people are still unclear about the cause after a stroke.

7. High paraplegia: Cervical vertebrae bone hyperplasia and bone spurs compress the cervical nerve roots and spinal cord, leading to paralysis.

Acupoint massage therapy for cervical spondylosis:

Baihui Point: Use your index or middle finger to press the Baihui Point (located in the center of the top of the head, at the midpoint of the line connecting the two ear tips), and continue to apply force. Generally, when you feel a sour or numb feeling in the area, continue for 30 seconds, or extend to 1 minute. It can relieve the symptoms of headache, dizziness and mental tension caused by cervical spondylosis.

Fengchi Point: Place both hands on both sides of your head and press the Fengchi Point with the tips of your thumbs (located at the back of the neck, under the occipital skull, in the depression on the outer edges of two large tendons) until a sore and swollen feeling appears. Continue pressing for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then massage the area locally. Suitable for people with high blood pressure caused by cervical spine problems and poor sleep.

Jianjing Point: Press the Jianjing point with your thumb, and lightly place the other four fingers in front of the shoulder. Apply force opposite to the thumb to lift the entire shoulder muscle. Continue for one or two minutes, and feel the entire shoulder muscle relax from tension. It is especially suitable for conditions such as neck soreness, heavy head and light feet, and stiff neck.

While massaging the three acupoints mentioned above, conservative treatment of traditional Chinese medicine should be the first choice for the treatment of cervical spondylosis. I believe that neither orthopedic doctors nor ordinary people like us will deny this statement.

Traditional Chinese medicine external application of plaster directly to the lesion

Traditional Chinese medicine diagnoses the symptoms and often uses methods such as dispersing wind and dampness, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, relaxing muscles and relieving pain. It has a significant effect on eliminating symptoms such as pain, numbness, and dizziness. There are many good external plasters on the market for treating cervical spondylosis, but not many can effectively cure and prevent recurrence.
