Composition of bile

Composition of bile

In fact, all mammals have bile in their bodies. Compared to other organs, we don't actually pay much attention to bile. In fact, if there is no bile in our body, many problems will arise. The main functions of bile are digestion and detoxification. So, do you know what are the main components of bile in our body?

As the saying goes, food is the first necessity of the people! Eating well, digesting well, and absorbing well can ensure the intake of nutrients and provide a continuous supply of energy to the human body. Speaking of digestion, we have to talk about our human organ gallbladder, or bile to be precise. The bile in the gallbladder is dark green. People often describe a frightened person by saying, "Look, that person's face is blue. He must be frightened!" So what are the components of bile, what are the functions of the components of bile, and what should we do if bile secretion is insufficient?

The main components of bile include bile acids, bile salts, bile pigments, cholesterol, sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, carbonates and proteins. The functions of these bile components are closely related to human digestion, especially the bile acids and bile salts in bile. So what are the functions of these two bile components?

Bile acid is an important component of bile, mainly present in the enterohepatic circulatory system for fat metabolism, and plays a certain protective role through recycling. Bile salts are mainly sodium salts of bile acids. Bile salts in bile have many functions, such as reducing the surface tension of fat, accelerating the hydrolysis of fat, and enhancing the activity of lipase. Bile salts and fat decomposition products can form water-soluble complexes to promote the absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K. Bile salts can stimulate intestinal peristalsis and facilitate fat digestion. In short, bile plays an important role in the digestion and absorption of fat.

Everyone knows that bile has two major functions. One is to aid digestion and help digestion and absorption of fat in the intestines; the other is to excrete waste products from liver metabolism. But when the various components in bile undergo significant changes, what should we do if bile secretion is insufficient?

If bile secretion is insufficient, fat will be difficult to break down and digest, which can easily cause constipation. The unbroken fat molecules will take away calcium and iron in the body, leading to anemia and osteoporosis. In severe cases, the body's absorption and metabolic functions will be disrupted, the body's resistance will be reduced, and it will be susceptible to disease. Therefore, do not be picky about food in your daily diet, and a reasonable combination of three meals can keep you in good health.
