Symptoms of cervical heart disease

Symptoms of cervical heart disease

There are many heart disease patients in our lives, but heart disease is also divided into many types. Some heart disease patients are more serious and often suffer sudden heart attacks that endanger their lives. Some heart disease patients have milder symptoms and only feel slight discomfort in the heart area when the disease occurs. There is also a type of cervical heart disease that causes heart disease when the cervical spine is painful. So what are the symptoms of cervical heart disease?

Surveys show that cervical spondylosis can cause heart disease. The heart disease caused by cervical spondylosis includes symptoms such as palpitations, chest pain, dizziness, discomfort in the precordial area, stuffiness, shortness of breath, cold hands and feet, and fainting. These heart disease symptoms caused by cervical spondylosis are called cervicogenic heart disease. When a person's cervical spine is diseased, the resulting cervical deformation can compress many nerves, causing lesions in various internal organs and gradually forming "cervical heart disease."

More than 20% of heart diseases are "cervical heart disease". How can cervical spine disease be related to heart diseases such as arrhythmia?

Cervical heart disease is mainly caused by sympathetic cervical spondylosis. Dislocation of the small joints of the cervical vertebrae and upper thoracic vertebrae will compress the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves, thereby affecting the nerves that control the heart and causing heart disease, resulting in symptoms similar to coronary heart disease and angina pectoris. Some patients will also experience heart disease symptoms such as tachycardia and bradycardia. Moreover, "cervical heart disease" accounts for about 25% of the heart disease population. There are some regularities in heart diseases caused by cervical spondylosis. For example, they often occur when one is tired, and incorrect working and resting postures can also cause symptoms such as irregular heartbeat.

If you have heart problems and the treatment for heart disease is not effective, you should see an orthopedic doctor to check for any cervical spine disease. As long as the cervical spondylosis is cured, the symptoms of heart disease will disappear.

If the patient's heart discomfort is simply caused by cervical spondylosis, then as the cervical spondylosis heals, the heart disease will also heal. However, if the heart disease is more serious, then the treatment of the cervical spine can only play an auxiliary role, and drug treatment should still be used.

Treatment of cervical heart disease For cervical heart disease, the following treatment methods can generally be adopted: Traction: Traction can stretch the ligaments around the cervical spine, expand the spinal canal and intervertebral foramen, correct the medial spinal imbalance, change the position of compressed nerve roots, eliminate or reduce the pressure and stimulation of nerve roots, promote the absorption of swelling and inflammation, and relieve muscle spasms, thereby achieving the purpose of treatment.

Massage: Massage can restore cervical scoliosis, rotation, facet joint disorder, etc. It can also stretch the spinal nerve roots, intervertebral foramina, soft tissues and embedded parts to increase the gap, release the adhesion of the nerve root sleeves, and eliminate the congestion and edema around the nerve roots due to accelerated blood circulation, thereby reducing and eliminating pain.
