Who should take ginseng lozenges?

American ginseng is relatively precious among traditional Chinese medicines and has very good effects on replenishing blood and qi. Generally speaking, in addition to being used to make wine, American ginseng can also be cut into lozenges for consumption. Lozenges are more convenient to eat, and the processed American ginseng can take effect faster in the human body. But not everyone is suitable for eating American ginseng. So, who is suitable for taking American ginseng lozenges?

1. Who is American ginseng suitable for?

1.1. Urban people who live in a busy life, have high pressure and feel tired.

1.2. High-load mental workers.

1.3. People who need to work overtime and have irregular lifestyles.

1.4. For students in junior high school and above, it can be used to supplement brain power, improve memory, and regulate nervousness before exams.

1.5. Healthy people and those who wish to stay young, to further improve their physical fitness and quality of life.

1.6. For people with weak constitution or those recovering from illness, to strengthen their constitution and improve their disease resistance.

2. Contraindications

1. Do not drink strong tea while taking the medicine, because tea contains a lot of tannic acid, which will destroy the effective ingredients in American ginseng. You must drink tea 2 to 3 days after taking American ginseng. It is also best not to drink coffee, which also has a certain effect on the effect of American ginseng.

2. Do not take it with radish. American ginseng is for replenishing qi (warming and replenishing vital energy), while white radish is for draining qi (clearing away heat, detoxifying, cooling, etc.). The two foods are contradictory. Not only can they not be eaten from a nutritional point of view, but the two foods are incompatible, which can easily cause allergic reactions or even poisoning. Moreover, from the perspective of Chinese medicine pharmacology, white radish cannot be eaten with American ginseng, and it is incompatible with many supplements. Sometimes eating white radish when you are sick will greatly aggravate the condition, such as when you have a cold or blisters.

3. Be alert to adverse reactions: Some people will experience chills, decreased body temperature, loss of appetite, abdominal pain and diarrhea after taking American ginseng; some will experience dysmenorrhea and delayed menstruation; others will have allergic reactions, with scattered blisters of varying sizes appearing on the upper and lower limbs and abnormal itching. After stopping the medication, the blisters will be absorbed and disappear on their own.

4. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that American ginseng is a cooling medicine that is good for replenishing qi and nourishing yin. If you have heat symptoms in your body, such as dry mouth and irritability, hot palms, red face, and frequent fatigue, you can use American ginseng supplements to achieve the purpose of conditioning. On the contrary, if you have a cough with phlegm, excessive saliva, or edema, you should avoid taking American ginseng, otherwise it will aggravate your condition. In addition, "do not supplement unless you are deficient." If you are not feeling unwell, you should not take American ginseng lozenges frequently.

5. In addition, American ginseng is not good for dampness, and seasonality should be considered when taking it. The climate is relatively dry in spring and summer, which are suitable for taking American ginseng, but not ginseng or red ginseng; while autumn and winter are more suitable for taking ginseng.
