What to do if the trachea itches, coughs and has phlegm

The oral cavity and nasal cavity are two important channels for the human body to breathe. Therefore, compared with other parts, they are more susceptible to bacterial invasion and thus infectious diseases. Especially during the season change, cold air suddenly attacks. Once the bacteria mixed in the cold air are inhaled by the human body, it can easily lead to bronchitis, itchy trachea, cough and phlegm. When this happens, what should we do?

1. Causes of cold, itchy throat and cough

1. Itchy throat and cough are typical symptoms of pharyngitis. In addition, pharyngitis can also cause a foreign body sensation, which is difficult to spit out or swallow, and is aggravated after eating irritating foods, when tired or when the weather changes.

2. The throat is a pivotal organ in the human body, connecting to the ears and nose upwards, and the trachea and lungs downwards. If pharyngitis is not treated in time or recurs, it may become chronic; if the infection spreads upward and affects the ears and nose, it may lead to acute rhinitis, sinusitis, and acute otitis media; if it develops downward, it may invade the larynx, trachea and other lower respiratory tracts, causing acute laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis and pneumonia; if pathogenic bacteria and toxins invade the blood circulation, it may cause systemic complications such as acute nephritis, sepsis, rheumatism, etc., which are very harmful to the body.
