Stomach pain and cold sweat

Stomach pain and cold sweat

People with bad eating habits are usually at risk of developing stomach problems, especially those who smoke, drink frequently, and like to eat spicy food, who are at a high risk of stomach problems. Once you suffer from stomach problems, it usually manifests as irregular stomach pain, which makes it difficult to eat. At this time, you should eat more mild foods to help heal your stomach. Is it normal to have cold sweats when you have a stomachache?

1. Diagnosis:

1. To judge stomach pain, the more correct method is to focus on the location of the pain, for example: pain in the left upper abdomen or discomfort in the left upper abdomen, and give a complete description of the duration of the pain, such as one hour after a meal, on an empty stomach, etc., and the accompanying symptoms, such as hiccups, bloating, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, etc., to facilitate the doctor's diagnosis and treatment. Specifically, you can follow the four steps below:

1) Location of pain

The stomach is located in the upper abdomen, in the depression below the sternum and above the navel (close to the pit of the heart). If the abdomen is divided into four areas, pain in the upper middle part of the left side is most likely stomach pain. However, it may also be caused by diseases of the esophagus, duodenum, gallbladder, liver or pancreas, so the duration of pain, accompanying symptoms, etc. are also needed as criteria for judgment.

2) Pain duration

Stomach pain occurs after or before meals? After eating certain foods? Or when you are too hungry, too full, or overeating. Since stomach discomfort is mostly closely related to eating, it is more accurate to use the time, habits, content, and type of eating as the criteria for identification.

3) Observe symptoms

There are many symptoms associated with stomach discomfort, such as hiccups, bloating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest tightness, etc. Since each disease manifests itself in different symptoms, if accompanied by chest tightness, heartburn, acid reflux, hiccups, etc., it may be an esophageal disease; if accompanied by pain when emptying the stomach, pain when full and hungry, hiccups with a sour taste, or even vomiting blood, it may be a gastric ulcer, but if there are symptoms such as hiccups, jaundice, and fever, it may not be related to the stomach, but may be a problem with the gallbladder. Therefore, the symptoms associated with abdominal pain cannot be ignored.

4) Go to hospital for check-up

If the situation is complicated and it is difficult to determine where the discomfort is occurring and the timing and nature of the pain, you should immediately go to the hospital and ask a doctor to help with diagnosis and examination. This is the most direct and accurate method.

Experts suggest that people who think they have stomach pain symptoms should not conclude that they have "stomach pain" just because they have pain in the upper abdomen, and rush to the hospital for examination and tell the doctor that they have "stomach" pain. This may lead to misdiagnosis or delay the disease. It is best to describe the condition by the location of the pain and the appearance of the symptoms. Only after a comprehensive diagnosis can it be determined whether it is a "stomach" problem.

2. Prevention:

1. Eat in moderation and avoid overeating. Eat easily digestible food and avoid raw, cold, rough, hard, sour, spicy and irritating food. Try to avoid worries and concerns and stay optimistic.

The reason why many patients with stomach problems cannot be cured for a long time is that they also have gastric autonomic nervous system dysfunction. As long as the gastric autonomic nervous system dysfunction is cured, other stomach problems will naturally recover. If patients with stomach problems feel not only stomach discomfort, but also poor sleep and mental state, then nine out of ten times it can be judged that they suffer from gastric autonomic nervous system dysfunction. It should be noted that gastric autonomic nerve disorder (i.e. gastric neurosis) is a functional disease that cannot be detected by instruments and is easily ignored by many doctors and patients. Some patients cannot figure it out, and some doctors cannot figure it out either. Therefore, many doctors do not know how to use medicine in this regard, which delays the treatment of patients and leads to long-term treatment without recovery!

2. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the inner side of the calf is where the spleen meridian of the foot Taiyin, the liver meridian of the foot Jueyin and the kidney meridian of the foot Shaoyin run. Therefore, massaging this area will have a certain stimulating effect on the acupoints where the above-mentioned meridians are located. In addition to having a local therapeutic effect on the distal acupoints below the knee, it can also treat diseases of the internal organs connected to the meridians. The Taiyin spleen meridian of the foot is connected to the spleen and stomach, so kneading and pressing this area may treat stomach diseases.
