Why is there a magnetic field inside the human body?

We all know that the earth has a South Pole and a North Pole, which forms a huge magnetic field. We must know that the magnetic field is very important to humans and even animals. If one day the North and South Poles suddenly disappeared or swapped positions, I'm afraid the Earth would be destroyed. In fact, there is a magnetic field inside the human body, and it is closely related to human health. So, why does the human body have a magnetic field?

The human body's magnetic field belongs to the category of biological magnetic field. The research on the generation and measurement of human magnetic field has been going on for about thirty years and is still in the process of development. Since the human body's magnetic field signal is very weak and is often surrounded by the magnetic field noise of the surrounding environment, it brings great difficulties to the measurement work. This is the main reason for the slow progress of this research. The successful development of the superconducting quantum interference device has ushered in a period of rapid development in the study of human magnetic field. It is of great significance to detect the human body's magnetic field by using the weak magnetic field measurement method and apply the information obtained from the human body's magnetic field to the diagnosis of various clinical diseases and to promote the treatment of some difficult diseases.

How is the human body's biomagnetic field formed? There are three sources:

First, it is generated by bioelectric current. The redox reactions in human life activities are ongoing. During these biochemical reactions, electron transfer occurs, and the transfer of electrons or the movement of ions can form an electric current called biocurrent. Human organs such as the heart, brain, and muscles have regular flow of bioelectric current. According to the Biot-Savart law, moving electric charges will generate magnetic fields. In this sense, any part of the human body that can generate bioelectric signals will also generate biomagnetic signals at the same time. The cardiac magnetic field, brain magnetic field, nerve magnetic field, muscle magnetic field, etc. all belong to this type of magnetic field.

The second is the induction field generated by biomagnetic substances. Certain substances in the living tissues of the human body have certain magnetism. For example, the liver and spleen contain more iron, which are magnetic. They generate an induction field under the influence of the geomagnetic field or other external magnetic fields.

Third, exogenous magnetic materials can generate residual magnetic fields. Due to occupational or environmental reasons, certain strongly magnetic substances such as iron dust and magnetite powder may enter the body through the respiratory tract or esophagus. These substances are magnetized by the geomagnetic field or external magnetic field and generate residual magnetic field. However, the human body's biomagnetic field is very weak. It can only maintain the normal physiology of the body's tissues and organs when it adapts to the large magnetic field of the universe. Otherwise, abnormal reactions will occur and illness will occur.

Regarding the biological effects of magnetic fields, scholars at home and abroad have conducted a large number of experimental studies, proving that magnetic fields have multiple therapeutic effects. They founded magnetic therapy, and many magnetic therapy devices and equipment have appeared, relieving the pain of many patients.
