So what can we do if the humidity is too high?

Traditional remedies for treating dampness

1. Celery soup: 250g of celery, decoct into soup, eat the vegetable and drink the soup, take it continuously.

2. Decoction of Xanthium sibiricum, Saposhnikovia divaricata and brown sugar: 60g Xanthium sibiricum, 60g Saposhnikovia divaricata and 25g brown sugar. Boil Xanthium sibiricum and Saposhnikovia divaricata into a thick paste with water, add brown sugar, two tablespoons each time, and drink it with boiled water.

3. Mung bean, Job's tears and kelp soup: 150g mung bean, 30g Job's tears, 20g kelp, decoct in water, add appropriate amount of brown sugar and drink. 1-2 times daily.

4. Cabbage root soup: 200g cabbage root, 20g honeysuckle, 20g purple-backed duckweed, 20g wild yam, decocted in water, add appropriate amount of brown sugar and take 1-2 times a day.

5. Cabbage and carrot soup: 100g fresh cabbage, 100g carrot, 20ml honey. Wash and chop the cabbage and carrots, and boil the water in the ratio of 2 bowls of vegetables to 1 bowl of water. Add the vegetables and cook for 5 minutes. Add honey when drinking the soup, twice a day.

6. Job's tears and red beans: 30g Job's tears, 15g red beans, add water and cook until the beans are soft, add sugar as needed, take in the morning and evening.

7. Purslane decoction: 30-60g fresh purslane, decocted in water, taken several times a day, and can be used for external washing.

8. Winter melon soup: 250g winter melon with skin, cut into pieces and cook into soup.

9. Cucumber decoction: 30g cucumber peel, add water and boil for 3 minutes, add appropriate amount of sugar, take 3 times a day, divided into doses.

10. Mung bean and kelp porridge: 30g mung beans, 50g soaked kelp, appropriate amount of brown sugar, appropriate amount of glutinous rice. Boil mung beans and glutinous rice into porridge, add chopped kelp, cook for another 3 minutes, then add brown sugar.

11. Moxibustion is a common treatment method in traditional Chinese medicine and is very effective in eliminating cold and dampness. The method of moxibustion is very simple. Just light the moxa stick and then use it to fumigate some related acupoints. It is very effective in treating heavy dampness. After using it for a period of time, the cold and dampness in the body will be greatly reduced.

12. Traditional Chinese medicine cupping can also effectively remove cold and dampness. It is generally recommended to perform cupping during the dog days of summer for better results. After cupping, some minor skin problems may occur, such as redness, itching, or the appearance of small blisters. These are normal phenomena and there is no need to worry.

13. Regular sweating and steaming can help expel moisture and cold air from the body. Because during the sweat steaming process, the body temperature will rise, which requires all the pores on the skin surface to be opened to achieve the purpose of heat dissipation through sweating. And there is a lot of coldness and moisture in this sweat.

14. Persisting in soaking your feet in hot water every day can also help remove cold and dampness. Therefore, friends who have a lot of cold and dampness in their bodies can try this method, which is simple and practical. In addition to using hot water for foot soaking, you can also use mugwort water, pepper water, etc., which will be more effective.
