The efficacy and function of Thai green ointment

The efficacy and function of Thai green ointment

Green ointment is a very common medicine in the Philippines, and many people are familiar with or use it. Let me introduce below, what are the effects of Philippine green ointment? How to use it?

Philippine green ointment is lincomycin lidocaine gel, which is a green transparent water-soluble gel. The green ointment contains the antibiotic lincomycin (i.e., lincomycin) and the local anesthetic lidocaine. Lincomycin acts on the 50S subunit of the ribosome of sensitive bacteria, blocking the growth of peptide chains and thus inhibiting protein synthesis in bacterial cells. Lincomycin is generally an antibacterial agent, but at higher concentrations, it also has an antibacterial effect on highly sensitive bacteria. At therapeutic doses, lidocaine has no significant effect on the body's electrical activity, atrioventricular conduction, and cardiac contraction; further increases in blood drug concentrations can cause a slowing of cardiac conduction rate, atrioventricular conduction block, inhibition of cardiac contraction, and a decrease in cardiac output. Green ointment has the effect of relieving pain and itching, and is used for various skin infections caused by minor burns, trauma and insect bites.

When using green ointment, apply it externally to the injured area 2 to 3 times a day. Slight skin irritation such as burning sensation, or allergic symptoms such as rash, itching, etc. If there is a burning sensation or swelling at the medication site, stop taking the medicine and wash off the part of the medicine. Consult a doctor if necessary. Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes (such as mouth and nose). Green ointment is not suitable for large-scale long-term use.

In summary, green ointment is an antibacterial antibiotic. It has high efficiency and antibacterial specificity against aerobic Gram-positive bacteria such as Rhodiola (including penicillin-resistant strains), Streptococcus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, and Anthrax. It also has excellent antibacterial specificity against Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The above is a detailed introduction to the relevant content. I hope it will be of some help to patients and friends. Green ointment is effective in treating scar infection. Friends in need can take safe medication under the guidance of a doctor.
