Acid reflux after eating

Acid reflux after eating

The pace of life in today's society is getting faster and faster, to the point that some people eat takeout and do not exercise, which has led to the development of many diseases at a younger age. Especially gastrointestinal diseases, more and more people have suffered from this disease in recent years. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases often eat less and experience stomach acid reflux after dinner, and some even vomit. These are all caused by bad eating habits.

The incidence rate is high among white-collar workers

The survey found that among the high-pressure and busy white-collar workers, more than 70% have experienced problems such as acid reflux and heartburn, and most of them choose to endure it or take medicine on their own to solve the problem. Experts believe that this is due to low awareness of the disease. The high incidence of acid reflux among white-collar workers is mainly due to work pressure and busyness, which leave them no time to ensure regular three meals a day, causing the stomach to be in a state of fatigue for a long time, thereby increasing the risk of gastric spasm. If stomach acid moves up into the esophagus, it can cause gastroesophageal reflux. This is a disease that can be easily misdiagnosed and should be treated promptly.

Skipping breakfast can make acid reflux worse

In life, skipping breakfast can also aggravate acid reflux. Experts explain that the energy intake from breakfast should be 30% of the total energy intake for the day. After a night's sleep, the body has been consuming energy for more than 10 hours without eating. The human body needs a breakfast rich in carbohydrates to replenish and store energy. If you skip breakfast for a long time or eat breakfast unscientifically, your stomach will be empty for a lot of time. When your stomach is empty, more stomach acid will be idle, which will easily cause acid reflux.

Experts suggest that people should drink a glass of milk and eat a piece of bread in the morning, which will not only reduce the occurrence of acid reflux, but also provide the energy needed by the body throughout the morning.

Excessive smoking and drinking can harm the gastrointestinal tract

Strong alcohol, sour drinks and stimulating condiments are all "dangerous elements" that cause acid reflux. Excess fat can also delay gastric emptying, stimulate gallbladder contraction and secretion, and reduce esophageal sphincter pressure. Smoking is also a habit that is extremely harmful to the stomach. The nicotine in tobacco can act on the vagus nervous system, disrupt normal gastrointestinal motility, cause gastric mucosal vasoconstriction, reduce prostaglandins in the gastric mucosa, and cause damage to the gastric mucosa.

Experts recommend that you try to quit smoking and limit alcohol intake in your life, especially not smoking within two hours before going to bed. In addition, dishes should be mainly boiled, stewed, and braised, and frying, deep-frying, and baking should be used as little as possible. Avoid eating raw and cold foods that are difficult to digest. You should also eat less irritating foods such as chili, curry, pepper, and garlic.
