The wind blows and the pimples appear

People with sensitive skin must pay special attention when the seasons change. Some patients with sensitive skin find that when they go outside and are blown by the wind, pimples will appear on their exposed skin. In fact, this kind of bumps are also what we often call urticaria in daily life, because urticaria is closely related to weather conditions and personal reasons. What are the treatments for urticaria caused by pimples when the wind blows?

Urticaria, also known as "wheals", will make you feel itchy all over when the wind blows. If you scratch your skin with your hands, many red bumps will immediately appear on your skin. The more you scratch, the bigger the bumps will become. Some will become extremely large in an instant, and even connect into pieces. The entire skin will become red and raised, which is very scary.

For some people, the itching will go away automatically after a period of time, while for others, it will reappear and cause itching all day long, seriously affecting their work and life. Western medicine will use anti-allergic drugs for treatment, while traditional Chinese medicine will classify it and then treat it accordingly. The first thing to distinguish is cold and heat. Some urticaria becomes more severe when exposed to heat, and the hotter it is, the more severe it is. This may be a heat syndrome, and Chinese medicine will use methods such as cooling blood and detoxifying to treat it. There is another type, which becomes serious when encountering cold, for example, washing with cold water will become serious, and it will become serious when the wind is slightly cool. This is mostly a cold symptom. Generally speaking, there are more cold symptoms than heat symptoms.

Patients with this type of urticaria often get tired easily, become breathless with the slightest movement, have a pale complexion that is not rosy enough, sweat easily with the slightest exercise, are usually afraid of wind and cold, are prone to catching colds, often lack energy, and get tired easily.

Use Guizhi Decoction. It is the first prescription in the "Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases" written by the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing. It was called "the best of Zhongjing's prescriptions" in ancient times. The current dosage of this prescription is roughly: nine grams of cinnamon twig, nine grams of white peony root, six grams of roasted licorice, three slices of ginger, and six jujubes (broken apart).

In fact, there are only three medicinal herbs in it, namely cinnamon twig, white peony root and roasted licorice. The remaining ginger and jujube can be bought by yourself in the market.

The combination is very simple, but the method of taking it is very particular. After the water is boiled, the first thing to do is to take it in a "appropriate temperature" and "after taking it for a while, sip hot porridge". That is to say, after drinking the medicine, you should also drink a bowl of hot porridge. This is to use the essence of water and grain to nourish the middle burner. It will not only make it easier to sweat, but also make the external evil go away quickly without recurring. This is very important. If you don't take this bowl of porridge, the effect will be much worse. Then, you need to "keep warm for an hour," which means put on clothes to warm your body. This is also to avoid wind and promote sweating. Be careful not to go out at this time. If you are blown by cold wind, all your previous efforts will be wasted.

The prescription of Guizhi Decoction is extremely effective for treating cold urticaria.

Gua Sha can be used to treat urticaria

Zhang Xiuqin, vice president of the Chinese Association of Research and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine: Gua Sha is also a good treatment for home use. It can be done three times in a row, with an interval of 3 to 5 days between each treatment. You can choose Fengchi point, Quchi point, Geshu point and Xuehai point for scraping. When the symptoms occur, be sure to apply scraping oil and scrape until the pores open or sha appears, depending on the physical condition. In addition, when the wrist is hanging down, there is an anti-itching point at the intersection of the horizontal line from the shoulder depression to the nipple. Regular acupressure is very effective in treating urticaria. If the condition is serious, it is best to go to the hospital for treatment.
