How to develop the habit of regular bowel movements?

In life, many people worry about being able to defecate smoothly, while some people do not have this problem and defecate at a fixed time and place every day. For example, some friends basically have bowel movements after getting up every morning, very punctually. Even if they did not eat much food the night before, they will still do so the next day. This is very beneficial to their health. So, how do you develop a habit of regular bowel movements?

There is a pattern to developing a regular bowel movement habit each day, with two specific bowel movement reflexes to latch on to each day.

One is when you wake up in the morning. At this time, the intestines have gone through a night of digestion, and intestinal peristalsis is able to transport the feces down. After getting up, there will be a particularly strong defecation reflex. If you go to the toilet quickly to defecate at this time, your body will feel relaxed all day.

The second is after breakfast. Breakfast is the beginning of a new day. After eating, the stomach and intestines begin to become active and move. At this time, people also have a very strong defecation reflex.

But again, the defecation reflex varies from person to person. Some people may not have time in the morning, and the urge to defecate may come after lunch or a nap.

Let me tell you, it is of course best to have regular bowel movements every day, because this can strengthen the defecation reflex. And if you can solve this problem regularly every day, your body will feel relaxed.

If you are not constipated, there is no problem with irregular bowel movements every day, as long as you can make sure you have a bowel movement once a day.

Why do we repeatedly emphasize the importance of developing good bowel habits? Because we are afraid that some people do not have the habit of regular bowel movements and only have a bowel movement after several days (such as 4 to 5 days). This state is definitely unhealthy.

Therefore, we must pay attention to it from the very beginning, and never let a minor constipation develop into a serious illness.
