Can cor pulmonale be cured?

Cor pulmonale is a disease of heart failure, which is what we often call secondary heart disease. It is usually caused by respiratory problems. It is relatively dangerous and the incidence is closely related to mood. Therefore, patients with cor pulmonale must pay attention to their mood and maintain a good mood and mentality, especially in winter and spring. These two seasons are the peak seasons for cor pulmonale.

In addition, the current environmental pollution is quite serious, and the number of people suffering from cor pulmonale has increased relatively. Those patients are always worried about whether the disease can be cured, whether it is incurable for life, and living in fear all day long. This will cause some emotions that are not conducive to the condition. Although there is currently no cure for cor pulmonale, it can be controlled.

The most common type of chronic cor pulmonale is chronic hypoxic-ischemic cor pulmonale, also known as obstructive emphysematous heart disease, or cor pulmonale for short. It refers to a type of heart disease in which chronic lesions of the thoracic cavity or pulmonary artery cause increased pulmonary circulation resistance, leading to pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular hypertrophy, with or without right heart failure. Since the vast majority of cor pulmonale is the consequence of chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma complicated with emphysema, actively preventing and treating these diseases is the fundamental measure to avoid the occurrence of cor pulmonale. We should pay attention to hygiene, quit smoking and strengthen our physical fitness to improve our overall resistance and reduce the occurrence of colds and various respiratory diseases. Patients who have developed cor pulmonale should be treated separately during the remission phase and the acute phase. Respiratory tract infection is a common cause of respiratory failure and therefore needs to be actively controlled.

However, patients with cor pulmonale do not need to worry. If we pay more attention to it in our daily lives and cooperate with drug treatment, there will basically be no problem. We can also adopt some dietary therapy methods, such as eating more pears, because pears can promote salivation and quench thirst, and have the effect of moistening the lungs and reducing phlegm. Our traditional tonic bird's nest also has a very good effect.
