Is hcg10 a sign of pregnancy?

Everyone knows that hcg is a test standard for checking pregnancy, and what is the hcg value to indicate successful conception. Everyone should check the relevant information. If we find that the hcg value is 10 during the examination, it means that we are pregnant. As the pregnancy period increases, the hcg content will also increase. Therefore, when we check the hcg value in the hospital, we can consult the doctor's opinion to judge the symptoms of pregnancy.

Does hcg value of 10 mean pregnancy?

HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is the "pregnancy test" hormone that is familiar and most commonly used by obstetricians and gynecologists. It is composed of α and β dimers of glycoprotein. But the α-subunit is common to all anterior pituitary hormones. The β-subunit is specific to HCG. It is now believed that HCG is produced by trophoblast transitional cells and syncytial cells. It increases rapidly during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy to maintain the pregnancy. After about 8 weeks of pregnancy, HCG gradually decreases until it reaches a relative stability around 20 weeks. Ultrasound in the early stages of pregnancy cannot determine whether you are pregnant, but now blood HCG can be used to confirm it. Blood HCG is not only highly sensitive, but also can be used for accurate judgment because it is "quantitative" data.

The reference value range varies from hospital to hospital. Therefore, it is recommended that you refer to the "value range". If hcg is less than the value range, you are not pregnant.

Generally, non-pregnant women’s blood HCG is <100IU/L. During the first 3 months of pregnancy, HCG levels approximately double every 2.2±0.5 days. Urine-HCG (HCG semi-quantitative method): non-pregnant women <25IU/L, 40 days of pregnancy >5000IU/L, 60-70 days of pregnancy >(8-32)×104IU/L (urine HCG level is highest in the early morning, close to serum level). Blood β-HCG is generally a test for diagnosing early pregnancy. If the blood β-HCG level is over 10, pregnancy can be confirmed. If HCG increases very quickly, it indicates the possibility of hydatidiform mole and must be closely monitored. Of course, it could also be twins.

What to eat in early pregnancy

The content of protein, fat, calcium, carotene, vitamin B1 and vitamin B2 in every 100 grams of millet and corn are far beyond that of rice and flour. Nutritionists' research shows that millet and corn are beneficial staple foods for brain health. In addition, walnuts are rich in nutrients, with fat accounting for about 20% to 50% and sugar accounting for about 10%. It has been determined that the nutritional value of one pound of walnut kernels is equivalent to that of five pounds of eggs or nine pounds of milk. In particular, it contains high levels of ingredients such as calcium, iron, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, etc., which are beneficial to brain nerve cells. If pregnant women insist on eating a few walnuts every day, it will be of great benefit to their own health and the development of the fetus.

However, papaya contains female hormones, which can easily interfere with hormonal changes in pregnant women, especially green papaya. Pregnant women should completely abstain from it because it is not only harmful to the stability of the fetus, but may also cause miscarriage. In Southeast Asian countries, local residents also use papaya to prevent pregnancy, which shows that papaya is not good for childbirth. As for aloe vera, there have been experiments conducted on animals, and the studies found that aloe vera can cause miscarriage in animals, so pregnant mothers are advised to eat less of it.
