For diabetic patients, controlling their blood sugar levels is something they need to do every day. Blood sugar is actually the sugar in our blood. Of course, in many cases this is glucose. If people's blood sugar levels exceed the normal range, they can easily develop diabetes. Diabetes itself is not scary. Most patients with mild symptoms have improved a lot after controlling their blood sugar through medication and diet after becoming ill. Although diabetes itself is not terrible, this is not a reason for you to ignore it. You should know that diabetes can cause many complications, such as heart disease and so on. If you wait until then to take it seriously, you may need hospitalization. So if you want to avoid this type of disease, you must know what the normal blood sugar level is. Normal fasting blood sugar ①: Generally, the fasting whole blood glucose level is 3.9-6.1 mmol/L (70-110 mg/dL), and the plasma glucose level is 3.9-6.9 mmol/L (70-125 mg/dL). ②: Fasting whole blood glucose ≥6.7 mmol/L (120 mg/dL), plasma glucose ≥7.8 mmol/L (140 mg/dL), repeated measurements twice can be diagnosed as diabetes. ③: When the fasting whole blood glucose level is above 5.6 mmol/L (100 mg/dL) and the plasma glucose level is above 6.4 mmol/L (115 mg/dL), a glucose tolerance test should be performed. ④ When fasting whole blood glucose exceeds 11.1 mmol/L (200 mg/dL), it means that insulin secretion is very little or lacking. Therefore, when fasting blood sugar is significantly elevated, diabetes can be diagnosed without the need for other tests. Normal blood sugar level after meal 1 hour after meal: blood sugar 6.7-9.4 mmol/L. The maximum value is no more than 11.1mmol/L (200mg/dl) 2 hours after meal: blood sugar ≤7.8 mmol/L. 3 hours after meal: After the third hour, the urine returned to normal and all urine sugar levels were negative.[2] Normal blood sugar levels for pregnant women ① Pregnant women should not exceed 5.1mmol/L on an empty stomach ② One hour after a meal for pregnant women: The blood sugar level one hour after a meal is generally used to detect diabetes in pregnant women. Authoritative data show that the normal blood sugar level for pregnant women should not exceed 10.0mmol/L one hour after a meal; ③ 2 hours after a meal for pregnant women: The normal blood sugar level after a meal is generally not allowed to exceed 11.1mmol/L, and the normal blood sugar level for pregnant women 2 hours after a meal is not allowed to exceed 8.5mmol/L. After understanding the normal blood sugar value, you can compare your blood sugar levels when fasting and after meals, and strictly control your blood sugar level so that it is not too high. Of course, blood sugar levels should not be too low, as low blood sugar can cause dizziness and other problems. |
