What are eye diseases?

Seeing and hearing come first, and if you want to see clearly you need a pair of healthy eyes. However, with the changes in people's lives nowadays, many friends have bad eye habits, such as playing with mobile phones before going to bed at night, staring at the computer screen for several hours to play games, etc. These habits can easily lead to the occurrence of some eye diseases and affect your eyesight. So, what are the specific eye diseases?

When it comes to the types of eye diseases, they actually vary according to people's ages. For example, cataracts and glaucoma are more common among the elderly, while teenagers are more likely to suffer from amblyopia and myopia. There is a difference.

Specific eye diseases are as follows:

Among teenagers, the visual impairment of teenagers in this age group is mainly due to problems with refractive error, such as myopia, which is the main abnormality causing visual impairment. There are also some eye diseases, such as amblyopia, and congenital diseases due to developmental abnormalities, such as congenital cataracts and congenital glaucoma. So for teenagers, the main problems are amblyopia, myopia, strabismus, and congenital diseases with a low incidence rate.

However, as we age, our body's organs, especially our eyes, also undergo some changes. When we reach a certain age, the occurrence of eye diseases is very different. For example, for a middle-aged person, the most common diseases he suffers from are often trauma and accidents, as well as some common diseases among middle-aged people. Relatively speaking, the incidence of eye diseases in middle-aged people is relatively low.

However, after entering old age, many diseases will appear, and these diseases are closely related to age. For example, the leading cause of blindness in the country is senile cataract. The lens in our eyes is like a camera lens, which is originally transparent. However, it becomes cloudy as we age, preventing light from entering and causing blindness. There are still millions of people across the country waiting for treatment. There are also some other diseases, such as glaucoma, age-related eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, eye problems caused by diabetes and hypertension, such as retinal vascular thrombosis, retinopathy, fundus hemorrhage, etc. So for an elderly person, the most common problems in our country are currently senile cataracts, glaucoma, and senile fundus problems.

After understanding what eye diseases are, I believe that you all know how to take care of your eyes. If you want to have good eyesight, you must pay attention to your eye habits and avoid overusing your eyes. At the same time, timely treatment should be given to some diseases that may cause eye diseases to avoid harming the health of the eyes.
