Gentamicin is rarely absorbed after oral administration and can exert a good local bactericidal effect on Helicobacter pylori in the stomach for a long time without causing toxic reactions.

6. Treatment of bacterial dysentery and acute gastroenteritis: Take 80,000 units of gentamicin injection orally, twice a day, usually 2 to 4 times a day to cure the disease.
