How to treat mouse hand

There are many common problems in life. When solving some problems, the methods cannot be chosen arbitrarily. First, we must have a comprehensive understanding of the problem so that we know what kind of solution is the best way. Mouse hand is a common problem for many people nowadays. Because some people often use the mouse, they will suffer from this problem. What are the symptoms of mouse hand?

Many people don’t know much about the symptoms of mouse hand, and they are not very clear after the disease occurs. Therefore, it is necessary to have a good understanding of this disease, especially for people who work with computers, they should pay attention to this.

Mouse hand symptoms:

The main clinical manifestations of carpal tunnel syndrome are compression of the median nerve, numbness, tingling or burning pain in the index, middle and ring fingers, which is aggravated at night after daytime labor and may even wake the patient up from sleep. Local pain often radiates to the elbows and shoulders. The thumb abductor muscle strength is poor, and the patient may suddenly lose control when holding or lifting objects. Examination: The pain worsens when compressing or tapping the transverse carpal ligament or extending the wrist joint; in patients with a long course of illness, thenar muscle atrophy may occur. Numbness and pain occur in the wrist, palm, thumb, index finger, and middle finger, or accompanied by inflexibility and weakness of hand movements; the pain symptoms worsen at night or early morning, and may radiate to the elbow and shoulder, and are relieved after daytime activities and shaking hands; the sensation in the above-mentioned areas is weakened or disappears; and even hand muscle atrophy and paralysis may occur. If this happens and does not improve for several days, experts recommend that you go to a regular hospital to see a doctor as soon as possible so that a diagnosis can be made and measures can be taken as soon as possible.

Clinically, some patients will suffer from atrophy of the "thenar" muscle under the thumb due to long-term diseases; they may even experience intermittent skin paling and cyanosis; in severe cases, the thumb and index finger may develop cyanosis, fingertip necrosis or atrophic ulcers, which become irreversible changes.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is common in people aged 30 to 50, and is five times more common in women than in men. Bilateral disease accounts for about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cases, and the female:male ratio of bilateral disease is 9:1. Due to compression of the median nerve, pain and numbness occur in the thumb, index, and middle fingers. In the early stages, it often manifests as sensory dysfunction in the fingertips, which often causes awakening due to numbness or burning pain a few hours after falling asleep and is relieved after activity. A small number of patients develop neurotrophic disorders due to the long course of the disease, resulting in thenar muscle atrophy, intermittent skin paleness and cyanosis, and in severe cases, cyanosis of the thumb and index finger, necrosis of the fingertips, or atrophic ulcers. During the examination, you can tap the middle of the palm side of the wrist, which will cause numbness and pain in the area innervated by the median nerve. This is a positive Tinel sign. Some patients experience increased paresthesia in their fingers after extreme flexion of the wrist for 60 seconds, which is a positive Phalen test. Symptoms can be induced by applying pressure to the upper arm using a sphygmomanometer until the distal limb veins dilate.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the symptoms of mouse hand. Therefore, after it occurs, it is necessary to seek timely treatment, otherwise it will cause great harm to your health, especially to the joints of the hands. After such a problem occurs, you can choose surgical treatment and other treatments to improve the disease.
