(4) For those who are seriously bitten, anti-rabies serum must be used in combination.

(5) Have 1:1000 epinephrine on standby.

Since rabies is a fatal disease with an almost 100% mortality rate, there is still no effective treatment in the world so far. Therefore, anyone bitten by a rabid animal or an animal whose venom is unknown should be given a rabies vaccine immediately. If a pregnant woman is bitten, she should also receive the full course of rabies vaccination in a timely manner.

After being bitten or scratched by an animal, the body will produce anti-rabies antibodies after receiving the full course of rabies vaccination. However, this effective antibody lasts for a short time. If the bite is within 3-4 months of the last vaccination, 2 booster shots will be sufficient. If it has been more than 6 months, the full course of injections should be repeated.
