What to do if you have asthma

What to do if you have asthma

I am out of breath after running less than two laps. When going up the stairs, I have to rest halfway. I usually have poor physical strength and I will be out of breath if I do a little work. It can be said that if this continues for a long time, it will cause great harm to people's life and work. There are actually many reasons for asthma, such as not paying attention to exercise, or some other respiratory diseases.

If it is a respiratory disease, then timely treatment is necessary to reduce complications. Of course, there are many causes of asthma, so how can we alleviate it and minimize the damage?

Improve your home environment and avoid dust mites

1. Carpets in the home are the places where dust mites and bacteria are most likely to breed. If they cannot be removed, they should be sprayed with anti-mite agents regularly.

2. Beds should be made of wood or metal as much as possible, and animal blankets, bedspreads or quilts should not be used on the bed.

3. Avoid using heavy cloth curtains and use blinds or plastic panels instead.

4. Use wooden or plastic products instead of stuffed furniture.

5. Dehumidifiers and air conditioners should be used indoors to avoid high temperatures and humidity.

6. Avoid hanging decorative objects that easily accumulate dust.

7. Do not keep pets such as cats, dogs, and birds indoors, as animal fur and excrement can easily cause allergies.

Take care of sick children and reduce the chance of seizures

1. Choose appropriate exercise and avoid strenuous exercise in dry and cold environment.

2. Warm-up exercises before strenuous exercise are very important. Warm-up exercises should be performed intermittently, that is, 3-5 minutes each time, without causing coughing, wheezing or chest discomfort.

3. If you choose appropriate exercise and do intermittent warm-up exercises, but still cannot avoid symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, or chest discomfort, you should take orally or inhale bronchodilators before exercising.

Use medications properly to control asthma symptoms

Drugs for treating asthma can be divided into two main categories: anti-inflammatory drugs and bronchodilators.

1. Anti-inflammatory drugs: In addition to changing or stopping the airway inflammatory response of asthma and reducing the high sensitivity of the trachea, anti-inflammatory drugs can also be used to prevent or prevent the occurrence of tracheal inflammation.

2. Bronchodilators: The use of bronchodilators is mainly to relax the contracted tracheal smooth muscles caused by airway reactions.

Although asthma will not directly cause pain or any complications, if some methods are not used in time to relieve or eliminate the harm of the disease, then asthma will bring greater problems to humans. Of course, you should also increase your exercise and improve your physical fitness.
