How big is the follicle?

For women, conception does not mean ovulation. If the egg quality is poor and it is discharged from the ovary before it matures, even if there is sperm to fertilize it, it will not be able to implant in the uterus and pregnancy will not be possible. Therefore, if you want a healthy fetus, a mature egg must be discharged to successfully conceive.

Nowadays, many women use B-ultrasound to detect the status of eggs in order to get pregnant better. Fortunately, they can have sex in time after the eggs mature and are discharged. In this way, the chance of pregnancy will be much greater. So, how big is the follicle when it is discharged?

If the follicle is larger than 1.8, it is considered a dominant follicle and can be fertilized if it is released. The size of the follicle when it is released varies from person to person, but as long as it is larger than 1.8, it should be tested every day. In addition, the daily growth rate of the follicle is 0.1-0.3cm. Pregnant mothers can go to the hospital for testing depending on the situation.

When the ovarian follicle size reaches above 1.8 and below 2.8, the pregnancy rate is very high. However, conception can only occur when the follicle is mature and ruptured. You can go to the hospital for an ultrasound in 3 days to see if the follicle has ruptured. If it has, that is the best time to have sex.

As we all know, the release of an egg is a basic condition for conception. However, many women are not quite sure how long it takes for the egg to be released, so they are very concerned about the symptoms of egg release. Generally, during ovulation, the basal body temperature will be slightly higher, the leucorrhea will be thinner, and some patients will experience slight bloating and pain in the lower abdomen.

When is the egg released: The day of ovulation is the next menstrual period minus 14 days.

Generally speaking, a woman's ovulation day is about 14 days before the next menstrual period. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before ovulation, 4 days after ovulation, and the 10 days including the ovulation day the ovulation period. If your menstrual cycle is irregular, you can check whether you have ovulated by measuring your body temperature, cervical mucus, etc.

As mentioned above, I believe that you not only know how big the follicle is when it is discharged, but also have an understanding of when the follicle is generally discharged from the ovary. If you want to get pregnant quickly, calculate your ovulation period and have sex during the ovulation period. Generally, the possibility of pregnancy is very high. If you have not succeeded in conceiving for a long time, it is recommended that you and your husband go to the hospital for a check-up.
