Daily 12-hour health maintenance method

Daily 12-hour health maintenance method

In traditional Chinese medicine theory, not only is the change of the four seasons a complete cycle, there is a corresponding health-preserving theory, but the same is true for the 24 hours in a day. Since the ancients divided a day into twelve hours, this set of health-preserving methods was also called the "Twelve-Hour Disease-Free Method" by You Cheng, a health-preserving expert in the Qing Dynasty.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the meridian qi in the human body is like the tide. It will rise and fall among the meridians as time passes, and different meridians will be "on duty" every hour. If you can adapt to the changes in the meridians and adopt different methods, you can achieve good health results.

Hai Hour (9-11pm) is the time when the San Jiao meridian is in charge

The word "hai" in ancient Chinese means the rebirth of life, so if you want to give your body a good start, you must start with a good sleep now. For the elderly, sleeping difficulties may occur, but no matter what method is used, try to fall asleep before 11:30 pm.

Zi hour (11pm to 1am), the gallbladder meridian is in season

This period of time is exactly the "Zi Jue" time that is particularly emphasized in Chinese medicine health preservation. In the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, it is said that "all eleven organs depend on the gallbladder", which means that there are 11 organs in the human body that rely on the functional support of the gallbladder meridian. Therefore, it is necessary to have enough high-quality sleep to ensure that the gallbladder meridian obtains sufficient energy.

Chou time (1:00-3:00 a.m.) is the season for the liver meridian

Calming your mind and nourishing your qi is the best way to protect your liver. It should be pointed out in particular that if some young people drink alcohol at this time, it will cause great damage to the liver.

Yinshi (3:00-5:00 a.m.), the lung meridian is in season

According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, Yinshi is the beginning of the human body's yang energy, and also the beginning of the change of qi and blood from static to dynamic. It is necessary to have deep sleep and is most afraid of being disturbed.

After the activity, drink a cup of boiled water, comb your hair a hundred times with a wooden comb, and then wash up. Breakfast should be light and filling. You can take a walk after a meal, but it is not advisable to do strenuous exercise.

Si time (9-11 am), spleen meridian is in season

After opening the windows for ventilation, you can engage in mental activities, but you must pay attention to combining work and rest to give your eyes a timely rest.

Noon (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), Heart Sutra is in season

It's lunch time. In addition to nutritious food and a combination of meat and vegetables, it is recommended to drink some soup and eat less salt in the dishes. You can drink but don’t get drunk. It is advisable to sleep for half an hour after a meal, but not too long.

Weishi (1-3 pm), the small intestine meridian is in season

After a nap, you can do a little gentle exercise and drink a cup of tea.

Shenshi (3-5 pm): Bladder meridian is in season

This is the best time to learn, when memory and judgment are active. In addition to using your brain to study, you should also drink plenty of water.
