What causes arm muscle pain?

What causes arm muscle pain?

In fact, muscle pain in the hands and arms is quite common. The real cause of the disease must be found in the early stage so that you can receive targeted treatment. Otherwise, your disease will recur repeatedly. Most patients suffer from excessive exercise, which will cause pain for a period of time.

1. Exercise

Muscle soreness occurs several hours to 24 hours after exercise and usually lasts for 1 to 3 days. The causes are nothing more than muscle injury, muscle spasm or connective tissue abnormalities. It is generally believed that connective tissue abnormalities are the biggest cause of muscle soreness.

2. Infectious diseases

During the course of diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, Siberian Rickettsial Spotted Fever, Legionnaires' disease, Pontiac fever, mumps, and malaria, there may be persistent high fever, which may be as high as over 40°C, accompanied by recurrent chills, muscle aches all over the body, and other symptoms.

3. Other diseases

Symptoms of muscle soreness are also common in repetitive strain injury, uveitis associated with Wegner's granulomatosis, and beriberi heart disease.

1. Muscle soreness after drinking

Excessive alcohol consumption can first cause a large amount of creatine and lactic acid to be produced in the muscles, leading to muscle soreness in the limbs, muscle soreness all over the body, and a feeling of swelling. The large amount of acid in alcohol enters the muscles, causing muscle and joint pain.

2. Osteoporosis

Irregular soreness in the long bones and muscles of the limbs is a clinical manifestation of osteoporosis. Its main manifestations are unexplained pain throughout the body in the elderly, scoliosis, hunchback, irregular soreness in the long bones and muscles of the limbs, calcium deposition, bone degenerative lesions, muscle atrophy, fractures and fracture complications, etc.

3. Back pain

The main symptoms are radiating pain, soreness, squeezing pain, cough pain, pulling pain, etc. in the waist, back, shoulders and legs. In mild cases, it affects normal life, and in severe cases, it damages health and can even lead to loss of ability to work.

4. Cramps

The scientific name is muscle spasm, which is a spontaneous tonic contraction of a muscle. Common leg cramps are actually calf muscle spasms, which manifest as the calf muscles such as the gastrocnemius suddenly becoming very hard and unbearable, which can last from a few seconds to tens of seconds. 5. Muscle tension pain is a clinical manifestation of neurasthenia. It is characterized by easy excitability and fatigue, and is often accompanied by emotional symptoms such as tension, worry, and irritability, as well as physiological dysfunction symptoms such as muscle tension pain and sleep disorders.
