Is rubella vaccine necessary?

Children are at high risk of many diseases because of their low body resistance. With the development of medical technology, vaccination has become an effective preventive measure for many diseases. However, in the eyes of many people, anything related to medicine is dangerous. This is indeed the case. Although the success rate of the vaccine is very high, there are risks in vaccination due to various factors.

So, is it necessary to get the rubella vaccine? Rubella is a common disease among children. If it is not prevented properly, the harm can be very serious. Among the prevention methods currently used, the success rate of vaccines is relatively high. However, due to the harmfulness of vaccines and their love for their children, many parents are reluctant to give them vaccines.

In the general population, rubella is a viral infection that causes fever and rash. However, after children are infected with rubella, in addition to fever and rash, they may also develop complications such as rubella encephalitis and myocarditis. Severe cases may lead to death, which seriously threatens the physical and mental health of children. If a pregnant woman is infected with rubella virus, the virus will infect the fetus through the placenta, causing stillbirth, miscarriage or congenital rubella syndrome in the baby, leading to various congenital damages in the baby such as congenital heart defects, deafness, blindness and intellectual disability, as well as developmental delay, osteitis, thrombocytopenic purpura, hepatosplenomegaly, hemolytic anemia and other congenital non-malformation consequences. There is no effective treatment for rubella. Vaccination against rubella is currently the most convenient, economical and effective way to prevent rubella virus infection in the world. Therefore, rubella vaccination is necessary.

It should be pointed out here that the purpose of the vaccine is to prevent the harm of rubella, and its success rate is very high. Children are generally given rubella vaccine. Moreover, compared with the harm caused by rubella, the probability of harm caused by the vaccine is lower. Therefore, considering all factors, it is more cost-effective to get the rubella vaccine.
