Symptoms and treatment of tracheitis

Tracheitis is a common and highly prevalent disease, which can be divided into acute and chronic types. Among them, chronic tracheitis is more common. Generally speaking, patients with acute tracheitis are more likely to develop chronic tracheitis. Of course, the treatment of this disease is not complicated, and there are many treatment methods, so as long as you receive the correct treatment in time after discovering the symptoms, you can get rid of the troubles of the disease.

In addition, if the symptoms of the disease can be discovered as soon as possible and treatment is received in time, not only will the treatment be simple but it will also be easy to cure. Therefore, it is important to understand the symptoms and treatment of tracheitis. What are the symptoms and treatments of tracheitis? Let’s learn about it together.

symptom:

(1) Cough: In the early stage, the cough is more severe in the morning, lighter during the day, and more obvious at night in the late stage. There are often coughing attacks before going to bed, accompanied by sputum. This is due to congestion and edema of the bronchial mucosa, and accumulation of secretions in the bronchial cavity. As the disease progresses, the cough will not heal all year round.

(2) Coughing up phlegm: The phlegm is more likely to be discharged in the morning. The phlegm is usually white mucous or serous and foamy, and may occasionally contain blood. This is mostly due to the sluggish cough reflex during sleep at night, which causes phlegm to accumulate in the airway cavity. After getting up in the morning, the change in body position stimulates phlegm discharge. When the acute attack is accompanied by bacterial infection, the amount of phlegm increases, and the phlegm becomes viscous or purulent.

(3) Shortness of breath and wheezing: These symptoms are usually not obvious in the early stages of the disease. As the disease progresses and is combined with obstructive pulmonary emphysema, shortness of breath of varying degrees will gradually appear, especially after activity. Patients with chronic bronchitis combined with asthma or so-called asthmatic chronic bronchitis often experience wheezing symptoms, often accompanied by wheezing, especially during acute attacks.

3. Danger Signals

If you suffer from chronic bronchitis, breathing difficulties become increasingly severe, and the nature of your cough also changes, this may be an early sign of lung cancer and you should go to the hospital for a check-up promptly.

No matter what disease is being treated, an optimistic attitude can help the treatment, and bronchitis is no exception. Therefore, once you are diagnosed with tracheitis, you should not be discouraged or lose confidence in the treatment.
