The wound has scab for 2 years and it has not fallen off

Generally speaking, it doesn’t take long for a wound to scab over, and if the wound is well cared for, it will heal quickly. It is very rare for a wound to have a scab that has not fallen off for two years, unless the wound site becomes inflamed repeatedly, which will cause problems with the scab. It is recommended that such patients seek medical attention promptly to check the condition of the wound and provide adequate care.

What to do if the wound scabs don't fall off

Here we only explain how to quickly heal scars for smaller wounds. If the wound is very large or related to medical surgery, it is best to listen to the doctor's advice.

When you accidentally get a small wound on your hand or leg and want it to heal quickly. First, you need to wipe the blood off the wound with a tissue, then dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide.

This kind of hydrogen peroxide can be bought in all major pharmacies. Use medical cotton swabs, which have a large area of cotton, as they absorb moisture the best.

Afterwards, a lot of white bubbles will appear on your wound. The hydrogen peroxide helps the scar to heal quickly and clean the bacteria in the wound. Rub two or three more times until the white bubbles become less or disappear.

Then, use medical alcohol to clean the wound. Clean the hydrogen peroxide and apply more alcohol, enough to soak the wound.

Finally, if your wound is minor, you can use a band-aid to help it heal faster. If it exceeds the length of the Band-Aid, hold the wound with a tissue for about two minutes.

Note: When sleeping or doing things, try to avoid areas with wounds. Because the harder you push, the longer it will take for the wound to heal. If there are signs of scarring, do not touch the wound. It will be fine in two or three days.
