What situations are not suitable for massage?

I believe everyone is very familiar with massage. Massage is a method of traditional Chinese medicine. We can use massage to treat many diseases, so massage is very popular among people. As long as we pay attention to the massage method and know how to make good use of massage, many diseases can be treated well. But we should also know that there are some situations where we cannot do massage.

If our body has some symptoms, then massage will not only be difficult to work, but may also cause side effects. For example, if the body has some acute infectious diseases, tumors, and various bleeding diseases, massage is not suitable.

Massage is a physical therapy with a wide range of treatments and is one of the external treatments in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It not only has a good therapeutic effect on many diseases in various departments such as orthopedics, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics and ENT, but also has the functions of health care, disease prevention, disease elimination and longevity, and is deeply loved by people. At the same time, it does not have the inconvenience of taking medicine or the pain of acupuncture, and is economical and safe, so it is easy for patients to accept it. Moreover, if the method is appropriate, long-term massage treatment has no side effects. Nevertheless, in order to prevent accidents from happening in clinical practice, it is still very important to strictly master the taboos, precautions, postures and media of massage.

Here is a brief introduction to the following situations which are not suitable for massage:

1. Open soft tissue injury.

2. Certain infectious diseases of the locomotor organs, such as bone tuberculosis, erysipelas, osteomyelitis, suppurative arthritis, etc.

3. Certain acute infectious diseases, such as hepatitis, tuberculosis, etc.
