What to do if the crescent on your finger disappears

What to do if the crescent on your finger disappears

Nails play a very important role for us. Our nails can not only protect our fingers but also we can know our physical health status by observing our nails. If we find that the half-moons on our fingers have disappeared, then we must pay attention to it, because the disappearance of the half-moons on our fingers means that there is a problem with our body. Below we will introduce how to deal with the disappearance of the half-moons on our fingers.

Nails are a barometer of physical health. Normal nails are rosy, curved, smooth and shiny. The lunula at the root of the nail is grayish white. The white crescent is medically called "lunula". Healthy people have a moderate sized lunula. People with a small or absent lunula generally have slightly poorer digestive function, a weaker body, and are easily fatigued. In Western medicine, the "lunula" is also called the lunula. The lunula is actually the part of the nail bed that grows to the bottom of the nail. It is the "bed" where the nails continue to grow, supplies the nutrients needed for the growth of the nails, and belongs to the connective tissue. The nail bed is rich in blood vessels and nerve endings. When the human body's blood circulation is normal and the nail tips are adequately supplied with blood, the nails grow faster and new nails grow continuously.

The newly formed nail has not yet aged, so its color is lighter. The middle part near the nail bed differentiates faster, and the growth rate on both sides decreases, forming a half-moon shaped shadow pattern. When the growth is fast, the half-moon arc is larger, and when the metabolism is low, the half-moon arc is smaller or even not obvious. Some people may have their nail lunula shyly hiding and refusing to show up because their nail nasal cavity is congenitally positioned backwards or their nails grow slowly (this is congenital, not caused by disease). By observing the changes in the size of your lunula you can judge your own physical condition (compared with your previous lunula, not whether your lunula is different from others!).

But if there are no half-moons on your ten fingers, don't worry too much. There are many explanations and studies on this situation. The absence of half-moons does not mean that you are unhealthy. Many people have a misunderstanding that the absence of a lunula or a lack of obvious one is a sign of poor health, so many start taking a lot of supplements, and then end up getting sick. In fact, in real life, many of these situations are related to one's innate constitution, and in most cases they cannot be changed. No one is born perfect, and different constitutions have their own shortcomings. If there is no discomfort in other parts of the body, you don't need to pay attention to it. But if you often feel dizzy, your lips are lighter in color, you are prone to dizziness, insomnia, and nightmares, especially female comrades, if you have excessive menstruation, your nails are bloodless, or your nails have no color, or you have loss of appetite, these are obvious symptoms of insufficient qi and blood. You can try taking some qi and blood tonic medicines. The most typical representative medicine is Bazhen Soup. You can often use Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, Rehmannia glutinosa, Poria cocos, Chinese yam, etc. to make soup, which has a certain effect.

If you often feel loss of appetite, or have indigestion, diarrhea, or constipation, you can seek medical advice from some Chinese medicine practitioners to determine your physical condition, and then use Chinese medicine to regulate your stomach and intestines, improve your digestive ability, and achieve the effect of strengthening the spleen and replenishing qi. But if you don’t have any particular physical discomfort and there are no half-moons on your ten fingers, I suggest that you relax, pay attention to rest and proper exercise.

In the above article, we introduced the role of fingernails. Our fingernails not only protect our body but also reflect our health status. If the half-moons on our fingers disappear, we should use the methods introduced above to deal with it.
