Treatment of lung infections

Treatment of lung infections

Lung infection may be caused by the patient's frequent smoking in life or by a cold, so we recommend that patients should check the health of their lungs in time. Generally speaking, for patients with lung infections, you cannot eat spicy foods, smoke or drink in your life, as this will increase the burden on the lungs.

The treatment of chronic bronchitis mainly focuses on anti-inflammatory, cough and phlegm relief, which is the most basic treatment. If you have an urgent cough and feel chest tightness, you can use some anti-asthmatic drugs. You can go to the hospital for inhalation nebulization treatment, which is more direct. In addition, you should pay more attention to weather changes to avoid catching a cold. If you smoke, it is best to quit. Staying away from smoking areas or places with strong fumes and odors, and strengthening physical exercise to enhance immunity can have a certain preventive effect. Do not eat irritating or hair-raising foods. You can also keep a bottle of compound licorice tablets at home. When you have a cough, taking 2 to 3 tablets can quickly relieve cough and reduce phlegm.

Patients should rest in bed, keep warm, and eat easily digestible food. People with fever should drink plenty of water and receive intravenous fluids if necessary. People with high fever should reduce their temperature physically or use antipyretics. For patients with hypoxia symptoms such as shortness of breath and cyanosis, oxygen can be given through a nasal cannula. For patients with severe irritating cough, codeine 15-30 mg can be given 2-3 times a day. Ammonium chloride and brown mixture can be used to eliminate expectorants.
