What is the function of Jianjing point?

We all know that there are many acupoints in the human body, and each acupoint has its own function. Whether it is cupping or acupuncture, the first thing is to find the acupoints. However, a large number of friends do not have an in-depth understanding of Chinese medicine, so they know nothing about the acupoints of the body, except for the commonly used ones, such as the temples, etc. So, what is the function of Jianjing acupoint?

Jianjing acupoint is one of the commonly used acupoints of the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot Shaoyang. It is located at the midpoint of the line connecting the Dazhui and the acromion end, directly opposite the center of the body. It is commonly used in modern times to treat soft tissue diseases of the shoulder and neck, mastitis, etc. Insert the needle vertically 0.3-0.5 inches, deep between the lungs. Be careful not to insert the needle too deep.

Name Explanation

(1 Jianjie acupoint. Jian means the acupoint is located on the shoulder. Jie means to disperse. The name Jianjie means that the water of the Gallbladder Meridian is dispersed and diverted here. The substance of this acupoint is the water of the Gallbladder Meridian that descends from the upper meridian of the Gallbladder Meridian. After reaching this acupoint, the water either flows into the lower part of the ground through the pores of the lower part of the ground at this acupoint or overflows from the Gallbladder Meridian along the surface of the ground. The water is dispersed here, so it is called Jianjie.

(2Bojing acupoint. Bo means arm or a large piece of meat. Jing means a pore in the ground. Bojing means that part of the water from the gallbladder meridian that flows down here seeps into the spleen and earth muscles. This acupoint is located at the plump part of the shoulder muscles, which is the highest point of the local gravity field of the human body. The water in the spleen and earth easily seeps out, so the water in the muscle layer in the acupoint is scarce, and the water from the ground that flows down from the upper part of the gallbladder meridian to this point also continuously seeps into it, hence the name Bojing.

(3 The meeting point of the Shaoyang Meridian of the Hand and the Yangwei Meridian. The qi and blood of this point are the water of the earth meridian. The qi and blood are mainly concentrated in the surface of the earth. The qi and blood of the heavenly level are therefore in a state of emptiness. The qi and blood of the Yangwei meridian and the qi and blood that absorb heat and ascend at the Tianliao point of the Shaoyang Meridian of the Hand therefore converge into the point. Therefore, this point is the meeting point of the Shaoyang Meridian of the Hand and the Yangwei Meridian.
