The causes of hemorrhoid bleeding need to be understood by type

Hemorrhoids are anorectal disease that most people have. After people suffer from hemorrhoids, they often experience bleeding symptoms. So, what are the causes of hemorrhoid bleeding?

1. Causes of external hemorrhoid bleeding:

Because feces abrades the mucosa, or because of excessive force during defecation, the pressure in the blood vessels increases, causing varicose veins to rupture, resulting in spurt-like bleeding during defecation.

2. Causes of internal hemorrhoid bleeding:

(1) When internal hemorrhoids become necrotic and fall off, abdominal pressure increases due to excessive straining during bowel movements, coughing, or lifting heavy objects, causing embolism at the base of the hemorrhoids and the blood clots in the blood vessels to be flushed out, causing the blood vessels to open and bleed.

(2) Wound damage. It often occurs during the period of necrosis and shedding of internal hemorrhoids. For example, if the stool is dry or if excessive force is applied during defecation, the wound may be damaged and cause bleeding, or if the blood vessels at the base of the hemorrhoids are not yet firmly embolized, the root of the ligature is excessively pulled, or the hemorrhoid stump is trimmed, causing bleeding on the wound.

(3) For patients with large internal hemorrhoids with good blood supply, there are many small arteries above and around the internal hemorrhoids. When the hemorrhoids fall off, the small arteries are easily damaged and bleeding occurs.

(4) Caused by local infection. The infected tissue begins to necrotize. When the necrotic tissue falls off, the wound tissue at the base becomes brittle and tender, and blood vessels are easily ruptured, causing bleeding.

3. Causes of mixed hemorrhoid bleeding:

The patient struggles hard, causing tension expansion of the anus, which results in tearing of the wound tissue and bleeding symptoms in anorectal diseases.
