From a medical point of view, there are many lymphatic tissues in the pharynx, some of which are clustered into clumps called tonsils, and some are scattered under the mucosa, called lymphoid follicles, all of which belong to the lymphatic tissue of the pharynx.

Causes of lymphoid follicle hyperplasia:

Lymph follicles belong to the immune system, peripheral immune organs, and mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue. Plasma cells produce antibodies, which, when injected into lymph and blood, can act on antigens to protect the health of the body. Due to the continuous stimulation of antigens, this process continues over and over again (or repeatedly), and the lymph follicles gradually increase in size and then push up the mucosa, which is the hyperplastic lymph follicles we see.

The proliferating lymph follicles we can see are only a small part of the entire lymph follicles. Most of them grow in the mucosal lamina propria.
