What are the common symptoms of early nephritis?

According to incomplete statistics, kidney disease is now becoming more and more common among younger people, which has to attract our attention. So what are the early symptoms of nephritis?

1. Oliguria

Oliguria in acute nephritis may occur simultaneously with edema, and the urine is dark in color. The daily urine volume may be less than 400 ml, and some patients may even have no urine. About one-third of patients will experience hematuria, and the urine will appear dark brown to the naked eye, which can usually last for several days or even weeks. Rapidly progressive nephritis is also characterized by oliguria, along with early symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, and loss of appetite. This type of nephritis mostly affects middle-aged men. The specific gravity of urine in chronic nephritis is also low. At this time, we must pay attention to it and not delay the best time for treatment.

2. Foam in urine

This is a problem that many patients with nephritis tend to overlook and do not pay special attention to. The increase in foam in urine indicates that the urine protein has increased and the body is losing a lot of protein. The reason for protein loss is that the kidney function is damaged and cannot wash hands well. When there is an obstruction between the kidney and the urethra, a large amount of protein will leak out and become proteinuria. This point should be taken seriously. Foam in urine tells us that there is something wrong with your body.

3. Cause other symptoms

Patients with acute nephritis often have respiratory or skin infections as symptoms 1 to 3 weeks before the onset of the disease, such as acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, gingival abscess, scarlet fever, chickenpox, measles, skin abscesses, etc. Most patients with chronic nephritis have no history of acute nephritis or streptococcal infection, so the cause is difficult to determine. Latent nephritis is the same as chronic nephritis, and usually there is no history of acute or chronic nephritis or kidney disease. Therefore, we have to go to a regular hospital for treatment.

4. Hypertension

Nephritis can cause the kidneys to always be in a state of long-term ischemia and hypoxia, resulting in poor blood circulation and excessive pressure, which in turn increases blood pressure, such as edema, which will not drop on its own.

5. Body swelling

The most obvious early symptom of nephritis is body edema, and body edema will continue to occur throughout the entire process of kidney disease treatment. The edema of different patients may be mild or severe. The former only shows obvious edema in the cheeks and eyes in the morning, and also in the ankles during lunch break. The latter is more serious and may cause swelling all over the body. When this happens, you must not be careless and should immediately go to the hospital for targeted diagnosis and confirm the condition as soon as possible. Of course, there may be a small number of nephritis patients who will not experience edema.

6. Renal impairment

The most typical feature of nephritis is the continuous worsening of renal function damage, with a decline in glomerular filtration function, tubular reabsorption and concentrating function, and corresponding symptoms appearing.
