What should we pay attention to when we have chronic pharyngitis?

I believe that many patients with chronic pharyngitis will have this feeling, always feeling that there is a foreign object in the throat, which they can neither cough out nor swallow. So what should they pay attention to with chronic pharyngitis?

1. Use a thermos cup with boiling water to brew honeysuckle, wild chrysanthemum, raw hay, Scrophularia, Ophiopogon japonicus, Sterculia lychnophora, etc. as tea and drink it at irregular times every day. It is best to take medicines sold on the market under the guidance of a doctor. Often hold the green fruit in your mouth, chew it slowly and swallow the juice; cut the pear into slices with the skin, add three green fruits and boil it, which has a certain effect on pharyngitis.

2. In terms of diet, drink more refreshing and throat-soothing beverages; eat more fruits, such as sugar cane, pears, water chestnuts, pomegranates, etc.; eat more light vegetables, such as eating radish raw or cooking with radish. Try to eat less irritating foods such as chili peppers, hot pot, cold drinks, etc.

3. Quit smoking and drinking. Tobacco and alcohol can irritate the throat and damage the body's functions, so they should be quit resolutely.

4. Avoid overusing your voice or shouting loudly, especially when your throat is uncomfortable. Do not speak loudly or sing loudly, otherwise it will make recovery difficult.

5. Pay attention to oral hygiene. To treat chronic pharyngitis, you must brush your teeth in the morning, evening and after meals. You also need to correct the bad habit of mouth breathing. You can rinse your mouth with salt water when you wake up early every day.

6. Remember to wear a mask when going out in cold or windy weather. To treat chronic pharyngitis, you must prevent cold air from irritating the throat and avoid dust in the air from polluting the oral cavity.

7. Keep the air in the room moist and clean, do not smoke indoors, and do not place items with irritating odors indoors. When treating chronic pharyngitis, you can use heating, but you should be careful not to make the room too dry. You can use a humidifier, or put a wet towel on the heater before going to bed to keep the air moist.

8. Participate in physical activities in moderation to strengthen your physical fitness and improve your body's resistance. This is one of the precautions in treating chronic pharyngitis.
