What are the ways herpes is transmitted? Five ways to pay attention to

As a contagious skin disease, once herpes appears on people's bodies, they need to know more about the transmission routes of the disease in order to take isolation and prevention measures.

1. Sexual contact infection:

Prostitution and soliciting prostitution are the main ways of transmitting sexually transmitted diseases. When a healthy person has sexual intercourse with a person with a sexually transmitted disease, the pathogens are transmitted to the other person due to the friction of the sexual organs.

2. Blood infection:

Infection caused by intravenous injection or blood transfusion.

3. Mother-to-child transmission:

Pregnant women with primary or recurrent herpes can transmit the virus to the fetus. One is direct transmission during vaginal delivery, the transmission rate (ie, the infection rate of the fetus) is 50% in primary herpes and 8% in recurrent herpes. The reason why the latter is low is that the mother already has antibodies, which can protect the fetus and reduce its chance of infection. The other is through blood transmission. When a pregnant woman carries the virus, the virus in her blood can enter the fetus through the placenta.

4. Airborne transmission:

This is mainly because the herpes simplex virus type 1 can be mixed with the saliva of patients with oral herpes, suspended in the air, and inhaled into the respiratory tract by normal people to cause infection: such as kissing with the patient, it can be directly transmitted; when the patient kisses the genitals, the virus in the lip ulcers can also be transmitted to the other person's genitals.

5. Indirect contact infection:

Infections are caused by healthy people using clothes, utensils, towels, bedpans, bathtubs, syringes, etc. used by patients, or by healthy people coming into contact with patients' damaged skin, diseased mucous membranes and secretions.
