How to deal with tooth decay, treatment methods for different degrees of tooth decay

As the saying goes: toothache is not a disease, but it is really painful when it happens. Tooth decay is the main cause of toothache. Tooth decay is caused by people not paying attention to their oral hygiene in daily life. What should I do if I have tooth decay? The treatment of tooth decay should be based on the severity of the decay, and treatment is required regardless of whether it is painful or not.

1. Shallow caries

1: The symptoms of shallow caries are not obvious and usually require X-rays to be seen. The treatment at this time is to fill the caries cavities with nano-resins or to perform pit and fissure sealing.

2. Deep caries

1: At this point, the erosion has reached deep into the tooth's essence, with dark cavities that can be clearly seen with the naked eye. The procedure at this time is to remove the decay first and then make a permanent filling.

3. Pulpitis

1: The caries cavity has reached the bottom of the tooth, and the pulp has been exposed after removing the carious tissue. Therefore, it is necessary to treat pulpitis first, add pulp protector to the bottom of the cavity, and then select materials for filling.

4: Periapical abscess and granuloma

1: There will be no spontaneous pain, but chewing will be uncomfortable and weak, and there will be a foreign body sensation in the mouth. At this time, the dental pulp is almost completely gone, the tooth decomposes and changes color, and an acute attack may occur when the body's resistance is low. The method used is to surgically remove the gingival tumor. An incision is made in the mouth, the mucoperiosteal flap is turned up, the bone wall of the site is removed, the cyst is exposed, and the gingival tumor is removed.

Five: Middle caries

1: Moderate caries is when the erosion has reached the essence of the tooth, forming a cavity in the tooth. At this time, the damaged cavity tissue needs to be removed first, and then filled with silver-mercury alloy or resin for sealing.

6. Roots

1: The residual root is when the tooth is decayed to the point where only the residual root is left. The solution at this time is to retain the residual root or remove the residual root and then perform porcelain tooth treatment.

VII: Apical periodontitis

1: This is the late stage of pulpitis, when most or all of the pulp tissue is necrotic. Root canal treatment is needed: the method is to enlarge the root canal, use a root canal file to make the root canal wall smooth, then clean it with hydrogen peroxide, and then seal it with medicine. Wait until the symptoms disappear and the root canal is cleaned before filling the root canal.

8. Tooth decay is a very serious problem

If left untreated, it may lead to more serious consequences, so toothache must be treated early.
