Frequent and urgent urination is already painful enough, why is there also a bloated lower abdomen?

Mr. Wang recently discovered that there seemed to be some problems with his body, because he felt that he urinated a lot more frequently every day than before, and he always felt a little uncomfortable at the beginning of urination. He always felt that he could not finish peeing, and he felt the urge to urinate again just after coming out of the toilet. So what is the reason for this situation?

What are the causes of frequent urination, abdominal distension, and backache?

A normal person urinates 4 to 6 times a day during the day and 0 to 2 times at night. If the frequency increases significantly, it is a symptom of frequent urination. If frequent urination occurs while drinking water normally, it may be caused by urinary tract infection or prostate disease.

If symptoms of frequent urination occur, dull pain, cramping or discomfort in the perineum and lower abdomen also occurs, and sometimes there is a feeling of soreness and swelling in the lumbar sacral area, above the pubic bone, bilateral inguinal areas and even both lower limbs. The pain may persist or occur intermittently. This is most likely prostatitis. Of course, this still needs to be confirmed through examination.

Why do prostate diseases cause these symptoms?

When the prostate becomes inflamed, it will cause disorder of the prostate and its surrounding nerves. The nerves will be compressed by the swelling of the inflamed tissue, causing frequent urge to urinate. If the disease is allowed to continue to develop, it will cause fibrosis of the prostate tissue, rigidification and hardening of the prostate, and compression of the nerves. Irritation symptoms will occur in the nerve reflex area of the prostate, common symptoms include low back pain, perineum pain, and lower abdominal distension.

So it is not difficult to understand why symptoms such as frequent urination, lower abdominal distension, and back pain occur.

Expert reminder:

Asymptomatic prostate disease does not require treatment. Just pay attention to your living habits and hygiene. If you have symptoms of prostatitis, you should treat it early. Given that prostate disease is prone to recurrence after treatment, traditional Chinese medicine is currently considered a very good treatment method that can achieve both conditioning and treating the root cause.
