How to treat acute pain in the early and middle stages of ankylosing spondylitis?

Due to the influence of external environmental factors (air conditioning, cold showers), patients are prone to acute pain or even worsening of their condition. Early and mid-stage patients should pay special attention!

1. Causes of acute pain: external factors

Ankylosing spondylitis specialists analyzed: The influence of external factors such as the sudden change of temperature and the change of quantity in summer can greatly cause the virus to invade the human body. Improper diet of patients can also increase the incidence of gastrointestinal diseases, and gastroenteritis can induce the onset of ankylosing spondylitis. At the same time, medical studies have shown that the reproduction of some harmful microorganisms depends on certain foods. Intake of such foods can promote the reproduction of pathogens and produce toxins. These toxins and bacterial antigens enter the body, which can induce or aggravate ankylosing spondylitis, and the outbreak of "inflammation" can directly lead to acute pain!

2. The root cause of pain: sterile inflammation

Ankylosing spondylitis is an immune system disease in which the disease originates from the joints and the root lies in the immune system. As the name suggests, it is caused by inflammation in the joints or spine. As the inflammation proliferates and thickens the joints or spine, adhesions, fusion, and bamboo-like changes will occur, eventually leading to "ankylosis" of the back. However, the inflammation in the joint cavity of patients with ankylosing spondylitis is different from ordinary inflammation (caused by bacterial and viral infections). It is "sterile inflammation" caused by the disorder of the immune system, which leads to "misrecognition" (misidentification) between immune cells and joint cells in the body, resulting in accidental ingestion (mutual attack) and inflammation. These inflammations are mainly accumulated in the joint cavity, and there is a thick layer of synovial membrane wrapped outside the joint cavity. Therefore, if you want to completely eliminate the series of uncomfortable symptoms caused by ankylosing spondylitis, the only way is to clear the aseptic inflammation attached to the joint cavity and keep the spine in an "inflammation-free" state. At the same time, experts recommend that patients avoid triggers in the summer, and more importantly, eliminate the root causes of pain!
