1. Narrowing of vision

Visual impairment is caused by high intraocular pressure and damage to the optic nerve. In the early stages, vision loss and foggy vision often occur at night and disappear the next morning.

2. Headache and eye swelling

Due to the sharp increase in intraocular pressure, the endings of the trigeminal nerve are stimulated, reflexively causing pain in the trigeminal nerve distribution area. Patients often feel migraine and eye pain.

3. Nausea and vomiting

Increased intraocular pressure can also reflexively cause excitement of the vagus nerve and vomiting nerve center, resulting in severe nausea and vomiting.

4. Increased intraocular pressure

Disorders in the circulation of fluid in the eye cause corneal edema and changes in refraction. When looking at sunlight, especially light, the outer circle will be orange-red, the inner circle will be purple-blue, and the middle will be green.

Ring phenomenon. When the intraocular pressure returns to normal, the colored ring disappears. This phenomenon is called rainbow vision in medicine. If the halo vision is physiological or cataractous, there will be no symptoms of headache or increased intraocular pressure.
