What to do if you have chest tightness due to bronchitis? Treat bronchitis promptly

Bronchitis can cause chest tightness. If you want to relieve the chest tightness, you must treat bronchitis fundamentally. If you have bronchitis, you must control the infection in time. People who have the habit of smoking must quit smoking, the home environment must be ventilated, and do more physical exercise.

1. Cough : Long-term, repeated, and gradually worsening cough is a prominent manifestation of this disease. In mild cases, the disease only occurs in winter and spring, especially in the early morning before and after getting up, and there is less coughing during the day. In summer and autumn, the cough is relieved or disappears. Severe patients cough in all seasons, which is aggravated in winter and spring. They cough day and night, especially in the morning and evening.

2. Coughing up phlegm : The phlegm is usually white, mucous and foamy. It is more common in the morning and is often difficult to cough up due to its viscosity. After infection or cold, symptoms rapidly worsen, sputum volume increases, viscosity increases, or becomes yellow purulent sputum or is accompanied by wheezing. Occasionally, there is blood in the sputum due to severe coughing.

3. Asthma: When combined with respiratory tract infection, asthma (wheezing) symptoms may occur due to congestion and edema of the bronchiolar mucosa, sputum blockage and bronchial lumen narrowing. The patient has a wheezing sound in the throat when breathing and a wheezing sound when auscultating the lungs. This type of disease, characterized by wheezing, is clinically called asthmatic bronchitis; however, its attacks are not like typical bronchial asthma.

1. Actively control infection: In the acute phase, follow the doctor's advice and choose effective antibacterial drugs for treatment. Commonly used drugs include: compound sulfa formaldehyde isoxazole, strong toxin, erythromycin, penicillin, etc. When treatment is ineffective, drugs that the patient has not used or has used rarely can also be used, such as midecamycin, spiramycin, and ceftriaxone. After the acute infection is controlled, stop using antibiotics promptly to avoid side effects caused by long-term use.

2. Quit smoking : Patients with chronic bronchitis should not only quit smoking first, but also avoid passive smoking, because the chemical substances in smoke, such as tar, nicotine, and hydrogen cyanide, can act on the autonomic nerves, causing bronchial spasms, thereby increasing respiratory resistance; in addition, they can also damage the bronchial mucosal epithelial cells and their cilia, increase bronchial mucosal secretions, reduce the purification function of the lungs, and easily cause the reproduction of pathogens in the lungs and bronchi, leading to the occurrence of chronic bronchitis.

3. Promote expectoration : Patients in the acute phase should use antitussive and expectorant drugs while using antibacterial drugs. For elderly and weak patients who are unable to cough up sputum or patients with a large amount of sputum, expectoration should be the main treatment, and strong antitussive drugs should not be used to avoid inhibiting the central nervous system and aggravating respiratory inflammation, leading to worsening of the condition. Helping critically ill patients change their body positions regularly and gently massaging their chest and back can promote the discharge of phlegm.

4. Maintain good home environment hygiene , keep the indoor air fresh and with a certain humidity, control and eliminate all kinds of harmful gases and smoke, quit the habit of smoking, and keep warm. Replenish negative ions to indoor air. Small-particle, highly active negative air ions can effectively enhance the ciliary movement of the tracheal mucosal epithelium, affect the activity of respiratory enzymes in the epithelial villi, improve the secretory function of the alveoli and the ventilation and gas exchange function of the lungs, thereby effectively alleviating bronchitis.

5. Strengthen physical exercise , enhance physical fitness, improve respiratory resistance, strengthen physical exercise to improve your physical fitness. You can choose medical exercises, Tai Chi, Five Animal Exercises and other items according to your own physical condition. Insist on exercising to improve the body's disease resistance. The amount of activity should be moderate without obvious shortness of breath, accelerated heartbeat and excessive fatigue. Patients with chronic bronchitis should do appropriate physical exercise during the remission period to improve the body's immune ability and the reserve capacity of the heart and lungs. Of course, strengthening exercise alone is not enough. It is necessary to use some commonly used medical devices in China, such as asthma treatment belts, to regulate and improve the functions of internal organs. The asthma treatment belt is a medical device with a standard number. It is based on the theory of meridians and acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine and uses high-tech materials such as neodymium iron boron magnets. It acts on the Ren and Du meridians, the hand Taiyin lung meridian, the hand Shaoyin heart meridian, as well as the Xinshu, Feishu, Tanzhong, Dazhui and other acupoints to fundamentally regulate the functions of internal organs and achieve the purpose of regulating Qi, promoting blood circulation and resolving phlegm, promoting lung function and relieving asthma, and relieving inflammation and pain. Preventing upper respiratory tract infections and avoiding inhalation of harmful substances and allergens can prevent or reduce the occurrence of this disease.

6. During climate change and cold seasons, pay attention to adding or removing clothes in time to avoid catching a cold and prevent influenza. Pay attention to changes in the condition and understand the patterns of the disease so that you can take measures in advance. If the patient has difficulty breathing, purple lips and nails, edema of the lower limbs, confusion, and drowsiness, he should be sent to the hospital for treatment immediately.
