Early symptoms of non-small cell lung cancer

Non-small cell lung cancer is actually a common type of lung cancer. This disease is not very effective with traditional chemotherapy and requires other treatment options. The symptoms of non-small cell lung cancer can be said to be very obvious, such as chest pain, coughing up blood, etc.

Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common lung cancer, accounting for 80% of all lung cancers. Non-small cell lung cancer mainly includes three types: adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma (lung squamous cell carcinoma), and large cell undifferentiated carcinoma, which have poor sensitivity to traditional radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The treatment of non-small cell lung cancer is based on the clinical stage of lung cancer. For stage I, II, and IIIA cancer, surgical resection is the main treatment. For patients with significant lymph node metastasis, chemotherapy or radiotherapy can be used before surgery.

Early symptoms

1. Chest pain

The chest pain symptoms of early lung cancer are relatively mild, mainly manifested as dull pain, muffled pain, uncertain location, and uncertain relationship with breathing. If the pain and distension persist, it means that the cancer may have affected the pleura.

2. Blood in sputum

When tumor inflammation causes necrosis and capillaries are damaged, there will be a small amount of bleeding, which is often mixed with sputum and appears intermittently or discontinuously. Many lung cancer patients seek medical treatment because of blood in sputum.

3. Low fever

When the tumor blocks the bronchus, there is often obstructive lung lobe, with varying degrees of severity. In mild cases, there is only low fever, while in severe cases, there is high fever. There may be temporary improvement after medication, but it will soon relapse.

4. Cough

Because lung cancer grows on bronchial lung tissue, it usually causes respiratory irritation symptoms and irritating coughs.
