What causes the symptoms of Meniere's syndrome?

Meniere's syndrome is a sudden disease. Patients will experience symptoms of dizziness, tinnitus, and deafness. Its cause is related to vitamin deficiency and mental reasons. There are many types of it, and it requires timely diagnosis and treatment.

1. Pathological causes

1. Meniere's syndrome is a sudden onset of non-inflammatory labyrinthine lesions with symptoms such as dizziness, deafness, tinnitus and sometimes a feeling of stuffiness in the affected ear. It usually occurs in one ear and the cause of the disease is unknown. There is no significant difference in the incidence rate between men and women. Most patients are young and middle-aged people, and the disease is rare in people over 60 years old. In recent years, there have also been reports of children's cases. The course of the disease is usually several days or more than a week.

2. There are many theories about the cause of the disease, but no consensus has been reached yet. For example, allergic reactions, endocrine disorders, vitamin deficiency, and psychoneurological factors may cause autonomic dysfunction, which in turn causes vascular and nerve dysfunction and increased capillary permeability, leading to hydrops in the membranous labyrinth, swelling of the cochlear duct and saccule, and stimulating the cochlear and vestibular receptors, causing a series of clinical symptoms such as tinnitus, deafness, and vertigo. The symptoms of this disease may be relieved without treatment. Although it may recur with irregular intervals, some patients may not have a recurrence after a single attack.

2. Disease Diagnosis

1. Ordinary type, in which symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, and sweating appear at the same time, also known as the common type.

2. First-onset tinnitus type: tinnitus occurs before other symptoms, months, weeks or years.

3. Severe tinnitus type: The tinnitus is severe. Once tinnitus occurs, vertigo is likely to occur. The vertigo is severe and the tinnitus is also severe. If the vertigo is cured but the tinnitus is not cured, the vertigo will definitely recur.

4. No tinnitus type: There is no tinnitus when vertigo attacks occur more than 5 times, which is called the no tinnitus type.

5. Sudden deafness type: During the vertigo attack, due to the extremely high pressure, the membrane pathway ruptures and sudden deafness occurs. The deafness is mostly unilateral, but it may also occur alternately on both sides. Early treatment of deafness is ideal.

6. Delayed vertigo type, fluctuating, neurological, progressive tinnitus, hearing loss (vertigo does not occur for a short period of time) vertigo appears after several years or even 20 years.

7. Hidden tinnitus type: the patient does not have tinnitus on the outside, but there is a feeling of blockage, stuffiness, stuffiness, itching, and slight pain in the ear. This is a hidden tinnitus type.
