The therapeutic effects and dietary prescriptions of Clematis

Clematis, also known as the hundred roots and tiger whiskers, has opposite leaves that are ovate or lanceolate. It blooms from June to September. The flowers are white and 1-2 cm in diameter. It bears fruit from August to November. The fruits are flat oval with white feathers on the top. It grows as roots and rhizomes in autumn.

1. Treat migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, and neuralgic headache

Take three grams each of Clematis chinensis, Salvia miltiorrhiza, and Pueraria lobata, and two grams of whole scorpion before processing Strychnos nux vomica. Add the above medicinal materials to water and boil them before drinking. It has a good analgesic effect.

2. Treat heel spurs and heel pain

Take one or two grams of Clematis chinensis, add water and boil for half an hour, then when the temperature of the medicine juice is suitable, pour in 50 ml of aged vinegar and use it to soak the affected foot, once a day, for 7-10 consecutive days.

3. Treat facial nerve paralysis

Take six cents each of Smilax glabra and Saposhnikovia divaricata, add water and boil them for drinking, one dose per day.

4. Treat gallstones

Take one liang of Clematis chinensis, two qian each of Magnolia officinalis, Citrus aurantium, and Scutellaria baicalensis, three qian each of Corydalis yanhusuo and Bupleurum chinense, six qian each of Lysimachia scabra, Curcuma aromatica, and Scutellaria baicalensis. Add water to the above herbs and boil them for consumption, one dose per day.
